Breaking Benjamin’s song “Blow Me Away” recently got certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States.

The single earned the high honor of the RIAA Platinum certification on January 14, 2021. This means that the song sold over 1 million digital US units, with each unit equaling 1 paid download of 150 streams. The song previously earned its Gold certification in November 2015.

“Blow Me Away” is a track from the Halo 2 Original Soundtrack, later being released as a digital single in 2010. Then in 2011, the band released a remixed version of the song which appears on their album, Shallow Bay: The Best Of Breaking Benjamin.

The song was co-written by Benjamin Burnley alongside Aaron Fink, Jeremy Hummel and Mark Klepaski.
