Blue October delivers the first single from their forthcoming project Spinning the Truth Around Part 2 with “Down Here Waiting.” Fans can stream the track from the second part of the group’s three-part opus now here!

“Come and get it, it’s supposed to feel good / Yeah you’re, you’re so sweet when you’re looking at me / And the lights go out / I’ll be down here just waiting / For a little attention from you now / I’ll be down here just waiting / And no one in the world can stop me now,” share the lyrics of the newly released single.

New Project, Spinning The Truth Around Part 2

Blue October recorded the Spinning the Truth Around series during a creative streak by band member Jeremy Furstenfeld at his very own Up / Down Studios located in San Marcos, TX. The 12-track first part of the series, Spinning the Truth Around Part 1, was released in October of 2022.

“We feel like we’re at the height of our craft,” shared Furstenfeld, who pulled inspiration for the project from R&B and hip-hop, specifically J Dilla and Marvin Gaye, according to a release.

The band revealed that Spinning the Truth Around Part 2 tells the raw and true story of two people growing apart during a challenging time in the world.

“Even if you did love someone, it’s okay if you both fall out of love,” continued Furstenfeld. “It’s the story about a loving relationship that changed, when the world was falling apart. Nobody had a rule book. You don’t have to end a relationship and hate each other. Life is so short. There is love out there.”
