Blink-182 vocalist, Mark Hoppus took to Instagram Wednesday, Sept. 24, to notify fans that he is officially cancer-free!

“Just saw my oncologist, and I’m cancer-free!! Thank you, god and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love,” says the 49-year-old artist in an Instagram post. “Still have to get scanned every six months, and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal, but today is an amazing day, and I feel so blessed. Can I get a W in the chat?”

Blink-182 fans quickly flooded the comments with positive praise and thoughtful remarks to honor the wonderful news. “There is no better news than this!!!! A massive congrats to you, Mark. You should feel so proud  🙏  Sending you and family so much love, “shares TV Personality, Allison Hagendorf. “Agghhhghh!!! YES!!! Thank god!❤️❤️❤️ congrats, buddy! Best feeling in the world. Enjoy it!!!,” says Adam Devine, full of excitement.

The megastar first shared the news about his cancer diagnosis back in June and revealed that he was undergoing treatment. “For the past three months, I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer,” he wrote in a statement. “I have cancer. It sucks, and I’m scared, and at the same time, I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.”

After sharing the heartbreaking news a few months back, the A-lister remained hopeful and promised his worried fans that he would tear up the stage cancer-free at a future concert. “Can’t wait to be cancer-free and see you all at a concert in the near future. Love to you all,” he says.

The fearless hitmaker was battling stage 4-A B-cell lymphoma, which was not “bone-related” but rather “blood-related.” According, to a previous Twitch Livestream, the “I Miss You” singer was diagnosed with cancer of the blood back in April. Since then, Hoppus has been keeping his loyal fan base up-to-date with his health by posting on social media.

In fact, in late August, he shared a photo of his bald head on Instagram and publicized that he was trying to keep his chin up, even though his health was getting the best of him. “Feeling terrible this we but trying to stay positive and count my blessings,” says the musician in the caption. “I hope everyone is doing great, staying healthy, and being kind to each other. If anyone needs me, I‘ll be on the couch for the foreseeable future,” he concluded.

However, most recently – Hoppus surprised his followers with a beautiful image of his hair growing back thick and healthy. “You are a badass in every form. Loving you and cheering you on daily,” a social media user said in the comments.

As Hoppus celebrates his health on social media, Music Mayhem will continue to follow the story and keep music-goers in the loop on his journey to full recovery.
