Blake Shelton will not only be tying the knot to his fiancée, Gwen Stefani, but he will also be taking on the official title of stepdad to her three children. Stefani’s three sons, Kingston (15), Zuma (13) and Apollo (7), are from her previous marriage with BUSH singer Gavin Rossdale, the couple divorced in 2015.
The country music superstar will become a stepfather for the first time when the couple weds sometime this year even though he has already been in their lives for 5 years.
“I take it very serious, but I also have a blast with it,” the “Minimum Wage” singer told KFROG’s The Ride with Kimo & Heather. “I don’t take it so serious that I’m not enjoying this time because I really am, especially now that we’re five years into this thing. I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.”
Shelton continuing to share that he has a stepfather, who he admires as one of his heroes.
“I have a stepfather in my life who is one of my heroes,” he said. “I love my stepfather and he’s like a father to me, so I have a good inspiration in my life on how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be.”
Shelton, Stefani and her three sons appear in the music video for their chart-topping duet, “Happy Anywhere.”
