It’s been a serious roller coaster of emotions these last few days but it was all worth it to make it home for Christmas with my family. A seriously happy father over here. Merry Christmas everyone.”

Cassells’ wife Brandi also shared the image and captioned the post “Nobody wanted anything more than we wanted you!! I literally can’t take my eyes off of you my handsome boy!! Our hearts are filled to the brim with a love unimaginable!”

“James and I received the most AMAZING Christmas gift we could EVER receive this week,” Brandi said in her post. “After some long, exhausting, and emotional days at the hospital it’s time to finally head home for the holidays, with the newest addition to our family that has made us feel complete. This is a love I never imagined, a feeling I will never forget, without a doubt the most amazing thing I’ve ever done! Emotions on emotions y’all and it’s only the beginning of a new beautiful life for us. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I hope your day is filled with as much L O V E and H A P P I N E S S as ours.”

The couple first announced that they were expecting their first child on June 11 via social media.

“This has been incredibly difficult to keep a secret, especially when the world needed some good news, but we are expecting BABY CASSELLS!! Due December 2020,” Cassells shared in his initial June announcement.

“We have been trying for what seems like forever and for those who have been close have seen the ups and downs, but finally getting to this point we couldn’t be happier,” Cassells added. “This is the start of an incredibly exciting new chapter of our lives and I can’t wait to welcome a new life to this world. If anything this has added more fuel to my fire to make this planet a better place for the next generation”
