Earlier this year, the country music icon revealed that his youngest daughter, Alexandra “Ali” Jane Jackson Bradshaw, was expecting.

“Our baby is having a baby. Denise and I can’t wait to meet our first grandson in December! – AJ,” Jackson captioned the post alongside the hashtag, #YoullAlwaysBeMyBaby, which is the name of the song he wrote about his daughter.

The news of Ali’s pregnancy was first revealed a few days prior by Jackson’s oldest daughter, Mattie Jackson Selecman, who shared several Instagram stories, revealing that her sister, Ali, is expecting a baby boy.

Mattie first shared a screenshot of Ali’s Instagram post with her husband, which was captioned, “Happy Anniversary to my husband and dad to be!! Of course your baby boy is due at the beginning of duck season.”

Mattie added her own caption that overlaid the graphic that read, “Did I mention my nephew coming 12/2022???”

The best-selling author then shared a video from the gender reveal party, where her father, Alan, and mother, Denise, were seen celebrating the exciting news with their family.

The baby’s gender was unveiled as Ali’s husband, Sam Bradshaw, who is an avid outdoorsman and hunter, shot at clay discs to reveal if their first child is a boy or girl.

“OMG – it’s blue!” Denise shouted as blue powder sprinkled down. Mattie then congratulated her sister and shared that her son will be the “fam’s first baby boy.”

“We have no idea what to do but we’re pumped!” Mattie added with excitement.

Ali previously shared the stage with her dad to sing a duet of “You’ll Always Be My Baby” during his Friday, October 8, 2021, concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Earlier this year, Jackson announced his new Silverbelly Whiskey, which gets its namesake from the country icon’s signature cowboy hat (while many believe the hat is white, it’s actually a color called Silverbelly) and is a new premium spirit distilled exclusively for – and hand-selected by – Jackson himself.

Additionally, Jackson recently wrapped his Last Call: One More For The Road Tour. The trek, which was presented by Silverbelly Whiskey, kicked off on Friday, June 24 at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The tour marked Jackson’s first outing since revealing he was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disorder in fall of 2021.

“I’ve always admired my heroes like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride who just played as much as they wanted to, as long as they could,” Jackson previously shared. “I’ve always thought I’d like to do that, and I’d like to as long as my health will allow,” he notes, adding with a smile, “I’ll try to do as much as I can, but if I’m comin’ your way, come see me…”

The Last Call: One More for the Road Tour visited 30 cities across the United States before wrapping up in early October. The tour included stops in several cities that the three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year hasn’t visited in years.

The country icon donated $1 for every ticket sold to the CMT Research Foundation. In addition, $1 was matched by a generous group of CMTRF donors and board members.
