Aerosmith has been forced to abruptly postpone six tour dates on their “Peace Out” farewell tour as Steven Tyler has been ordered “not to sing for the next thirty days” by his Doctors due to vocal cord damage he sustained during a recent concert.

In an emotionally charged statement shared to Aerosmith’s social media on Monday evening (Sept. 11), Steven Tyler shared the unfortunate news and expressed his heartbreak over the situation. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to strict medical advice to ensure his full recovery and ability to deliver the performances that fans deserve.
“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days,” Steven Tyler wrote. “I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”
The six shows that were impacted by the postponement include concerts in Detroit, Chicago, Washington, Toronto, Raleigh and Cleveland.
The iconic rock band, known for timeless hits such as “Dream On” and “Walk This Way,” quickly rescheduled the affected tour dates. The newly scheduled shows will now take place early next year.

The band promised that “all previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend. Fans with questions regarding refunds are asked to reach out to their point of purchase.”
“Peace Out” Farewell Tour
Aerosmith are currently in the midst of their “Peace Out” farewell tour, which kicked off in Philadelphia, PA at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, September 2 and features support from The Black Crowes. The tour finds the band bidding farewell to their iconic 50-year career.
“After 50 years, 10 world tours, and playing for over 100 million fans… It’s time for one last go!” the group wrote at the time of the tour announcement.
Produced by Live Nation, this historic 40-stop tour spans across North America and features appearances at legendary venues in both the United States and Canada. The tour itinerary boasts prestigious arenas such as the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Madison Square Garden in New York, and Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
Additionally, there is a noteworthy hometown show planned for Aerosmith in Boston, where they will be performing on New Year’s Eve in 2023.
