Zac Brown, founder, front man and lead vocalist for the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning, Zac Brown Band has joined forces with DemerBox, the makers of the ultimate outdoor Bluetooth speaker, to give back to service members deployed in some of the most remote locations around the world through the USO and their USO2GO program. DemerBox and Brown donated 300 DemerBox DB2 speakers featuring the USO logo, which included Zac Brown Band music to service members based in areas like Iraq, Afghanistan and North Africa.

In addition to the donation of the speakers, the USO DemerBox will be available on DemerBox.com beginning today. For each USO speaker purchased, DemerBox will donate $50 to the USO allowing the organization to continue its critical mission to strengthen our Armed Forces by supporting them as a grateful nation, keeping them connected to family and bringing them comforts of home.

Brown’s commitment to giving back to the men and women of the Armed Forces is a passion very near and dear to his heart. Last week, Zac Brown Band released their latest song, “Warrior” as a tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces. Warrior is off Zac Brown Band’s upcoming new studio album, The Owl, and is available now across all digital streaming platforms. The Owl is set for release via BMG on Sept. 20, 2019. As an integral part of their values, Zac Brown Brand regularly pays tribute to the Armed Forces during live performances. Every time they play their single, “Chicken Fried,” the band invites local military members to the stage and honors them for the sacrifices they’ve made on behalf of our country. Brown has been partnering with the USO for several years and is devoted to the cause as his main passion in life alongside music.

“I’ve been a longtime supporter of the USO and their mission. It’s an honor to team up with the USO and DemerBox to support the brave men and women who sacrifice so much to protect our freedom,” said Zac Brown. “My hope is the DemerBox speakers and music help deliver a piece of home to remind them how much they are appreciated.”

Built to withstand challenges, and as tough as the men and women who serve our country, the DemerBox DB2 speaker is built to outlast the most unforgiving conditions. Having passed extensive durability tests across the globe, the speakers have maintained their high-level performance in some of the most extreme weather conditions, from the coldest city in Alaska to the humid climates of Papua New Guinea. With more than 40 hours of battery life, the speaker pairs to any Bluetooth device and provides high quality, environment-filling audio perfect for the isolated areas of the world that service members often find themselves in.

“DemerBox is proud to partner with the USO to give back to our brave service members,” said DemerBox Co-Founder James Demer. “Our troops sacrifice everything, and we’re honored to help the USO continue to provide them with some of the comforts of home.”

As the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, the USO has kept service members connected to family, home and country for more than 78 years. From the moment they join, through deployments and as they transition back into their communities, the USO is with them at every point of their military journey, wherever they serve. The USO continuously adapts to the needs of our men and women in uniform, and their families, to deliver care, comfort and connection, so they can stay strong and maintain focus on their important mission of protecting our country and freedom. The USO2GO program ensures service members in remote locations have some of the small comforts of home such as electronic gaming, musical instruments, sports equipment and personal care items. Reaching troops in remote places in Afghanistan, Iraq, Philippines, Egypt, Djibouti, Jordan, Australia, Kuwait and North Africa, USO2GO helps deployed service members relax and recharge.

“You often hear about people giving their support through time, talent or treasure, but Zac Brown has given all three to the USO in various ways over the years to help strengthen our men and women in uniform. The USO is grateful to Zac for being a Force Behind the Forces and we are excited about this opportunity with DemerBox to rally the public to give thanks and support our troops.” said Alan Reyes, USO Chief Operating Officer.
