Yungblud, Halsey and Travis Barker unveiled their collaborative new single “11 Minutes,” about a week ago on February 13th. They performed “11 Minutes” for the first time live soon after, and surprised fans with a pop-up shop. “11 Minutes” is the latest single from Yungblud’s first single of the year, and follows his single “Loner” and 2018’s 21st Century Liability, this is also the latest single from Halsey chart-topping hit single “Without You.”

Yungblud tells the meaning behind the track, “The song tells the story of a perfect tragedy that reflects modern love within our society. We are so distracted and focused on what’s next, we can fail to see what is actually in front of us. We don’t realize how much we need something until it’s taken away from us.” He continued to tell that “Working with Halsey and Travis was a fucking dream—at the end of the day we’re all rock kids, We grew up with a mutual adoration for the genre so it completely makes sense that we would come together and try to modernize it.”

The single “11 Minutes” was created with producer and songwriters Matt Schwartz (Cold War Kids, Kylie Minegue), Zakk Cervini (Good Charlotte, Mayday Parade) and Chris Greatti (Grimes, Black Veil Brides).

The video, directed by award-winning filmmaker Colin Tilley, explores the emotional stages of grief and loss to tell the story of 11 Minutes.  “We don’t realize how much we need something until it’s taken away from us,” says Yungblud.  “We are so distracted and focused on what’s next, we can fail to see what is actually in front of us.”
