Walker Hayes & Kesha are embracing the simple things in life in the “Fancy Like” music video.

Just weeks after enlisting Kesha as a featured guest on the “Fancy Like” remix, the pop superstar is joining Hayes in the just-released music video for the viral hit.

The Rehman Ali-directed music video, shot in Los Angeles, takes place in Sun Valley, California at an old-fashioned 1940s hotel called The Pink Motel and Cadillac Jack’s diner (formerly known as Pink Cafe). The hotel and diner has also housed the filming of TV shows, commercials and music videos such as Kane Brown’s “Be Like That,” Christina Aguilera’s “Your Body,” Cee Lo Green’s “F*ck You,” Neon Trees’ “Everybody Talks” and a number of others.

The clip not only features Kesha and several of her dancers, but also Hayes’ wife Laney.

Throughout the video, the superstar pair embrace the less fancy things in life that they have come to cherish, in a world of their own that features the simple things in life, such as tailgating with boxed wine, skateboarding, watching a movie on a makeshift screen in an empty swimming pool and just dancing through the streets of Los Angeles. The clip concludes with the entire cast doing the viral “Fancy Like” dance in front of the iconic building.

“This song came out of a conversation about the misconceptions that celebrities or artists live a lavish lifestyle, and it’s important for folks to know that’s not necessarily true,” Hayes said. “I’m truly about as fancy as Applebee’s on a date night, so creating a video celebrating the simple moments in life — like watching a movie or drinking box wine — was important to us. Kesha and I each bring our own versions of ‘Fancy Like’ to this, and I love how it came together.”

Co-written by Hayes alongside Cameron Bartolini, Shane Stevens and Josh Jenkins, “Fancy Like” appears on Hayes’ latest EP, Country Stuff, which features collaborations with Jake Owen, Carly Pearce and Lori McKenna.

“I’ve been a fan of Kesha’s originality and vocals since first hearing her music,” Hayes said in a press release of the “Tik Tok” singer. “When Kesha sings, you know it’s Kesha. Her swag is so identifiable, and her songwriting celebrates the fun of everyday life and is so honest. It’s the perfect fit for a track about just that.”

“From the first time I heard ‘Fancy Like,’ Walker was speaking straight to my heart,” Kesha added. “I’ve always been more at home in a honky-tonk in my boots than on a red carpet in heels. This song took me right back to my roots. Working with him on the lyrics was so fun — getting to yell and celebrate the most magical things which are usually cheap, dirty or free. This song reminds me of all those cheap thrills of the deep South that made me the wild woman I am.”
