When their band’s name was called out on Sunday night as the winners of the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the GRAMMYs, the members of Twenty One Pilots immediately took off their pants. Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph stripped down to their boxer briefs to accept their first-ever Grammy for “Stressed Out.”
“This story starts in Columbus, Ohio, and it was a few years ago,” Tyler Joseph started off their speech. “It was before Josh and I were able to make money playing music.” He went on to talk about watching the GRAMMYs a couple of years ago with his bandmates at his house. “As we were watching, we noticed that every single one of us was wearing our underwear,” he continued. “Josh turned to me and said, ‘If we ever win a Grammy, we should receive it just like this.” And that is exactly when they did, See the video below of their acceptance.
