Tune in to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” tonight to catch a must-see TV performance by THE SMASHING PUMPKINS (11:35pm ET/PT on CBS).

The band’s “Late Show” appearance will be followed by tomorrow’s tour kickoff at BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey.  Dubbed “one of the hottest tickets of the summer,” this co-headlining run features the Pumpkins and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds with special guests AFI (see itinerary below). And check out some amazing footage from the Pumpkins’ recent international tour HERE.

The multi-Grammy winning Smashing Pumpkins are touring in support of recent LP SHINY AND OH SO BRIGHT, VOL. 1 / LP: NO PAST. NO FUTURE. NO SUN. Produced by multi-Grammy winner Rick Rubin, it’s the first Smashing Pumpkins LP in over 18 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin with longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder. The LP can be heard in its entirety by clicking HERE.

Associated Press called the LP “shiny and oh so bright,” Entertainment Weekly spotlighted it on “The Must List,” Vulture said it shows a “clearly rejuvenated singer-guitarist Billy Corgan,” the San Francisco Chronicle praised its “sublime, bristling melodies” and magazine gave it 4 stars, pointing out its “moments of glorious burning distortion” and called single “Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)” “one of the most resplendent songs of their career. For a band claiming ‘no past’ and ‘no future,’ the present suits them extremely well.”  And after listening to it, Spin wrote, “we should know by now not to count Corgan out.”

The group celebrated the album’s release with the monumental Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour in 2018, which sold well over a quarter-million tickets across North America and saw them playing sold-out arena shows at venues like The Forum, United Center and Madison Square Garden. The tour was the band’s first in nearly two decades to feature Corgan, Chamberlin and Iha, alongside Schroeder, bassist Jack Bates and keyboardist Katie Cole.

Formed in Chicago, IL in 1988, The Smashing Pumpkins released their heralded debut album Gish in 1991 and found mainstream success with 1993’s 4x multi-platinum Siamese Dream and 1995’s 10x multi-platinum Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. With over 30 million albums sold to date, the two-time GRAMMY®, MTV VMA, and American Music Award winning band remains one of the most influential alternative rock bands in the world.
