WATCH: Maren Morris Makes Blind Fan’s Dreams Come True With Special Moment On ‘TODAY’

Maren Morris recently appeared on New York City’s TODAY Show as part of the Citi Summer Concert Series. In between performances, she took a moment to meet a blind superfan who was standing in the front row, making her presence known.

Kicking things off, Morris performed “Circle’s Around This Town,” the leading track off her latest album, Humble Quest. As the camera panned around the crowd, many fans were seen jamming along with Morris, but one person in particular really stood out.

TODAY Show co-host Savannah Guthrie took note of the young fan named Lily and her determination to sing along with every word to Morris’ song. Shortly after, the two were introduced, creating a magical moment.

Guthrie stepped on stage beside Morris and guided the singer towards the excited crowd while letting her know about the fan that caught her eye. “There’s a little girl in the front row singing all of your songs. Lily is blind, but boy, can she hear you.”

Sporting her neon green dress, Morris happily followed along and took hold of Lily’s hand, creating a memory that will last a lifetime. She then mentioned that she’d signed a guitar pick for Lily, who gushed and said, “Thank you so much for the guitar pick.”

Maren Morris Revealed Her Favorite Song To The Blind Superfan At The Show

With the biggest smile on her face, Lily asked her burning question to the “I Can’t Love You Anymore” singer regarding her 2-year-old son, Hayes.

“What is Hayes’ favorite song of yours, and how is he doing?” Lily asked.

“He’s good! I think he’s home watching right now,” Morris responded. “I’m going to say ‘Hummingbird’ because…”

“…he’s on it!” Lily quickly added, as Morris agreed saying, “He has a feature on it, yeah!”

Morris’ song “Hummingbird” holds a special place in her heart as it was written the day she found out she and her husband, Ryan Hurd were expecting their first child. By the time she was ready to record this song, Hayes was old enough to talk and make his own contribution to the song that was inspired by him. His innocent voice was recorded and can be heard in the beginning when he says, “mama.”

Maren Morris Is Currently Embarking On Her Humble Quest Tour

Before heading back to the stage and continuing her performance, Morris took an extra moment to snap a picture with her fan. She played several other songs for the concert series including “Good Friends,” off her latest record, and her smash hit, “The Bones.”

While she was in town, Morris also performed at the historic Radio City Music Hall as a stop on her headlining tour. She took to social media to share several photos of her stunning blue ensemble and the venue filled with excited fans. Her caption read, “BRB crying into my wine because tonight was ridiculous.”

The Citi Summer Concert Series lineup also features several other fellow country artists including Keith Urban, Walker Hayes, Mickey Guyton and more. 

Maren Morris is currently on the road for her Humble Quest tour, which kicked off in June. Her next performance is set for August 5 in Cleveland, OH.
