According to a video clip, shared by McBryde on Tuesday (Jan. 4), the country superstar custom-built and gifted a bar cart to the “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” singer as Combs’ headlining tour came to a close, which McBryde served as direct support on in 2021.
“Luke Combs gave me an end of tour gift. And my reaction was fully on brand. Thank you Luke!!” McBryde captioned the clip.
The clip, filmed Mid-December 2021 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, shows McBryde’s initial reaction to the generous gift from Combs.
The video opens as the Arkansas native entering what appears to be a backstage dressing room with some members of her team. As she entered the room, she appeared shocked and said “oh sh*t,” thinking she may have walked in the wrong room before noticing Combs standing with a bar cart that was personalized with McBryde’s name and logo.
The bar cart, which was illuminated with a remote-controlled rope light, included a mini-fridge (stocked by Combs), three drawers for storage, cutting boards, and more.
“Thank you buddy,” McBryde said as she hugged Combs. “You are very welcome,” Combs replied.
“Aw, you got me tearing up like a little bi*ch,” McBryde added with a laugh.
Combs then showed McBryde through the custom-built bar cart and what it entailed, “You got a fridge, we filled it up for you guys too. So you got cups, cutting boards, remotes, mixes. All kinds of different… you can keep your bottles in there and everything.”
“Man, this is so great, thank you so much,” McBryde gushed to Combs. “You’re very welcome. Enjoy!”
“You’re the best,” McBryde said as the clip concluded.
In August 2021, McBryde paid tribute to Combs with a special performance of his chart-topping hit, “She Got The Best Of Me” during the ACM Honors award ceremony in Nashville, which earned a standing ovation from Combs and his wife Nicole.
Ahead of her impressive rendition of the track, she honored the country superstar with a heartfelt speech before he received the ACM Gene Weed Milestone award.
“Even with all of his success, I can say personally, that he is as humble and as grounded as he was on the day I met him. Luke, you are truly one of the best dudes I know. I can’t think of anyone more deserving to receive the ACM Gene Weed Milestone Award.”
“I’ve been touring with Luke for… Goodness… seems like two or three years now, supporting him. So, he’s a great guy, he’s done a lot as far as teaching me how to treat people and helping us learn how to put on a bigger and bigger show,” McBryde previously said.
