The Louisiana native was thrilled over the opportunity to perform on the annual holiday special for the first time ever.
“I’m excited for my family back at home in Northeast Louisiana to watch the show, to hear me,” Wilson admitted before the broadcast.
Wilson continued, “I’m singing ‘Christmas Cookies’ by George Strait, which is just a song that my family and I absolutely love, and we turn it up during Christmastime, so it’s gonna be cool for them to watch me on TV and sing one of our favorite Christmas songs.”

Wilson released a cover of “Christmas Cookies” shortly after her debut single, “Things A Man Oughta Know,” topped both the Mediabase and Billboard Country radio charts. It was a monumental moment as Wilson became the first new solo female artist to earn a No.1 since Gabby Barrett with “I Hope” in April 2020.
Gabby Barrett and Carly Pearce joined forces to co-host CMA Country Christmas, which aired on Monday, November 29 on ABC.
The star-studded show also featured festive performances by Barrett, Pearce, Jimmie Allen with Louis York and The Shindellas, BRELAND, Brett Eldredge, Lady A, Pistol Annies, and Carrie Underwood.
Beginning November 30, CMA Country Christmas will be available to watch anytime on demand and available to stream on Hulu.
