Lady Gaga gave a soaring performance our National Anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” during President Joe Biden And Vice President Kamala Harris’ Inauguration on Wednesday (Jan. 20), live from Washington, D.C.

Donning a beautiful navy and crimson red ballgown, Gaga ushered in Biden’s inauguration with an exceptional performance of the national anthem.

“Singing our National Anthem for the American People is my honor,” Gaga tweeted ahead of her performance. “I will sing during a ceremony, a transition, a moment of change—between POTUS 45 and 46. For me, this has great meaning.”

The theme of the Inauguration was “America United,” which the Presidential Inaugural Committee described as “the beginning of a new national journey that restores the soul of America, brings the country together, and creates a path to a brighter future.”

Lady Gaga and Garth Brooks were also featured as performers during the Inauguration.

Inauguration celebrations will continue tonight with a primetime special, dubbed Celebrating America, which will be hosted by Tom Hanks and will air on Wednesday (Jan. 20) from 8:30-10:00 p.m. EST.

Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Tim McGraw, Lady Gaga Tyler Hubbard, Bruce Springsteen, Ozuna, Luis Fonsi, Jon Bon Jovi, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Foo Fighters, John Legend, Ant Clemons and more are set to perform during Joe Biden’s inaugural concert special. Additionally, the televised primetime special is set to include special appearances from Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Chef José Andrés, Dolores Huerta and Kim Ng.

The primetime event will air on BidenInaugural.org as well as on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC. It also live-stream on PIC’s YouTubeFacebookTwitter. The PIC’s streaming partners, including Amazon Prime Video, Microsoft Bing, NewsNOW from Fox, and AT&T U-verse (Channel 212/1212 in SD/HD) and DIRECTV (Channel 201).
