Kelly Clarkson kicked off Season 4 of The Kelly Clarkson Show with a bang!

The three-time Grammy Award winner takes her viewers on a “Kellyoke” road trip medley with Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again,” Madonna’s “Music,” Aretha Franklin’s “Freeway of Love,” and tops it off with Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York!”

The video begins with Clarkson and her band packing up for the road in her The Kelly Clarkson Show-branded tour bus as she sings “On the Road Again.” Clarkson cuts to different scenes in different cities around the nation, singing and dancing with her band until they reach their final destination of New York City.

Leading up to the premiere of season 4, Clarkson hosted a #KellyokeSearch tour throughout America in hopes to find talented singers for duets and potential features on the Kelly Clarkson Show. Before that, she released her Kellyoke EP which featured songs previously covered on the show— including Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever,” and The Weeknd’s “Call Out My Name.”

Towards the end of the video, Clarkson finally arrived on the set of the Emmy Award-winning show with an eager and excited audience awaiting her as she belted out the words to Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York.” The country superstar seemed thrilled to be back in the studio as she kicked off her premiere with special guest stars including seven time CMA Entertainer of the Year Award winner Garth Brooks.

Once the crowd settled down, a shout from the other end of the room called out Clarkson’s name. SNL’s Keenan Thompson appeared to be standing in the back when he mentioned he heard Clarkson was looking for some talented singers.

He shouted, “Well I’m not going to be on SNL forever, can I just show you what I got?” He turned to the crowd, “Y’all ready for this?”

Thompson comedically crashed the show while belting out the words to one of Clarkson’s best known songs, “Since You’ve Been Gone.” After a warm welcome to New York, Clarkson mentions the Emmy Awards airing Monday at 8 p.m. EDT which will be hosted by Thompson.

Kelly confirms, “It is tonight though, right? Like, in Los Angeles,” reminding Thompson he better go catch his plane.

The Kelly Clarkson Show has been a hit since it first aired several years ago, earning success with celebrity guests like Austin Butler (Elvis) and pop singer/The Voice coach John Legend.

Eleven-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift announced her newest album will be dropping mid-October, and confessed that being a guest on the show would be a great way to celebrate the release of her new music.

Fans are excited to see who will join Clarkson on set this season, speculating what big names will be joining her.
