Kane Brown was joined by a young fan to perform a hit song during his set in North Dakota.
The country superstar performed his chart-topping single “What Ifs,” a duet that originally features Lauren Alaina, with a 6-year-old fan named Taya, on Saturday (July 31) at the North Dakota State Fair.
The clip, shared by Taya’s mom Cherisse on Instagram, finds the young fan and the country hitmaker strutting down a catwalk to a cheering crowd as Brown’s band began to play the intro of “What Ifs.” Brown then asked Taya, “you ready?” before explaining to her that “there’s a long intro before the song starts, where we usually get pretty hype.”
Brown then exploded into the fan-favorite song alongside the young fan.
Throughout the brief performance clip, Taya is seen taking on Alaina’s portions of the song while Brown sings his.
You can watch the aforementioned clip below, in addition to the full length performance.
According to the 6-year-old’s mom, the young fan previously performed “What Ifs” with Lauren Alaina in her backstage dressing room at just 3-years-old.
Additionally, the “Worship You” singer recently announced his massive 35-date ‘Blessed & Free Tour.’ The tour is set to kick off on October 1 in Sacramento and will visit all 29 NBA basketball arenas throughout 2021 and 2022, marking the first country artist in history to headline every NBA basketball arena on a single tour.
