Jordan Fisher delivered a show-stopping performance of The National Anthem during the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 (Indy 500) on Sunday, May 29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The singer, actor and producer’s goosebumps-inducing showcase of “The Star-Spangled Banner” will go down in history as one of the best renditions of the patriotic tune, according to buzz on social media.
As the Air Force Thunderbirds soared overhead, Fisher allowed his vocals to shine while honoring the United States of America during Memorial Day weekend.
Last year (2021), Jimmie Allen performed the National Anthem during the show.

Fans took to social media during and after Fisher’s performance of the National Anthem and raved over his rendition of the track.
“Hell of a rendition of the national anthem by @jordanfisher. Great way to get the Indy 500 started,” one fan wrote, while another added, “@jordanfisher absolutely rocked the Indy 500 National Anthem!!! Great job!’

Prior to his performance, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway President, Douglas Boles, promised IndyCar viewers that his performance of the tune would be one to remember.
“The national anthem is a signature pre-race moment, and Jordan is ready to welcome fans back to Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a memorable and emotional performance at the Racing Capital of the World,” Boles said.
Fisher, who won ABC’s Dancing With The Stars in 2017 and judges Dancing With The Stars: Juniors in 2018, has appeared in several musicals, including the titular role in Dear Evan Hanson, where he became the first Black actor to do so on a full-time on Broadway.
The 28-year-old Alabama native also performed in Hamilton, as well as Fox’s Rent: Live and Grease: Live!. He has also appeared in several televised shows, including The Flash, Star Wars: Visions, High School Musical: The Musical – The Series, and Netflix films To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Work It, among many others.
More recently, Fisher is the voice actor and serves as Robaire, a member of a fictional boy band 4*Town, in Disney Pixar’s Turning Red.
Later this year, Fisher will appear in two films Field Notes On Love and Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between, which are currently in the pre-production stages of filming.

In addition to Fisher, Girl Named Tom performed “America The Beautiful” and Jim Cornelison sang “(Back Home Again In) Indiana” during the star-studded Indy 500 pre-concert events.
Blake Shelton served as the Grand Marshall at the Indy 500.
