After performing “Buy Dirt” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jordan Davis found out that a couple was getting married nearby, and their first dance song was “Buy Dirt,” so he went and surprised the newlyweds with a special performance.
“When a trip to play on @fallontonight turns into a wedding gig…congrats Claudia and JD,” Davis captioned the clip on social media.
The clip begins with Davis in a car traveling from New York City to the couple’s wedding in New Jersey on Friday (Jan. 14).
“Found out that there’s a wedding in New Jersey and the first dance song is ‘Buy Dirt’ and they had a DJ playing it, but we’re only 35-minutes away. So, we are going over to play the first dance song live, so y’all tag along,” Davis said, introducing the clip.
As the clip continues, it shows Davis warming up his vocals before he shocked the newlyweds and their wedding guests as he entered the dance floor to sing “Buy Dirt” for their first dance after they entered the reception.
The country hitmaker then performed the track as the couple, who were all smiles, swayed and sang along to the chart-topping hit.
“Congratulations,” Davis shouted as he concluded his performance and the couple shared a kiss and their wedding guests cheered.

Before heading to the couple’s wedding, Davis made his debut appearance on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with a performance of his Platinum-certified single, “Buy Dirt.”
Co-written by Davis alongside his brother, Jacob Davis, and frequent collaborators Josh Jenkins and Matt Jenkins, “Buy Dirt” is the title track of Davis’ latest EP. Featuring Luke Bryan, the track has quickly become one of Davis’ fastest growing songs to date.
“‘Buy Dirt’ to me is about faith, family and friends, and really finding your happiness. That’s what that song means to me,” Davis explained during an appearance on Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music Country.
