Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan reunited for a special version of their fan-favorite collaboration.
The country superstars joined forces for an acoustic performance of their chart-climbing duet, “Buy Dirt,” on Friday (Oct. 15). The stripped-down version of the track allows the meaningful lyrics and heartfelt message behind the song to be put on full display.
The performance clip, shared on Friday (Oct. 15), finds Davis and Bryan singing the acoustic rendition of the song while sitting upon two bar stools, accompanied by a guitarist.
“Luke isn’t just a great entertainer; he’s a great dad, a great husband, and a great friend, too,” Jordan previously explained. “That’s what ‘Buy Dirt’ embodies. When I wrote ‘Buy Dirt,’ I knew he could relate to the song’s message.”
Co-written by Davis alongside his brother, Jacob Davis, Josh Jenkins and Matt Jenkins, “Buy Dirt” appears on Davis’ EP of the same name.
The song earned a nomination at the 55th Annual CMA Music Awards for Musical Event Of The Year, marking Davis’ first-ever nomination at the coveted awards show.
