Harry Styles pulled a double duty tonight (Nov. 16) on Saturday Night Live, being both the host and musical guest. This marks Styles’ debut as the host of SNL but his second time as musical guest with the first being in 2017. Not only did he perform his latest single “Lights Up” on the show after several hilarious comedy-filled skits but Styles’ also surprised fans with a new song on the show which he titled “Watermelon Sugar,” Styles’ teased this new song on Twitter earlier last month tweeting, “Kiwi walked so Watermelon Sugar could run.”
Styles first performing “Lights Up” in a very unique rendition of the song, this is the first-ever performance of the new single anywhere and Styles’ brought his a-game both vocally and within his stunning black sparkling outfit. Styles’ then gave a debut performance of a brand new song “Watermelon Sugar” which he did in a very unique way with him and his band dressed like fruits and vegetables.
“Lights Up” and “Watermelon Sugar” come from Styles’ forthcoming new album, Fine Line, which will be unleashed on December 13th via Columbia Records. Styles’ gave fans a first-listen to the new song via streaming platforms just before he performed it on the show, which you can listen to HERE.
