WATCH: Eric Church & Ashley McBryde Surprise Sold-Out Nashville Crowd With Duet Of “Midnight Rider”

Eric Church surprised the Nashville Crowd during Ashley McBryde’s sold-out concert in Nashville!

On Thursday (Aug. 26), the country superstars joined forces for a surprise duet of The Allman Brothers Band’s classic hit, “Midnight Rider,” surprising the sold-out Ryman Auditorium crowd. The Thursday (Aug. 26) evening show marked the first of McBryde’s three sold-out concerts at The Ryman on her highly-anticipated This Town Talks Tour.

While Church only performed one song with McBryde, the singer/songwriter and Arkansas native played a 21-song set that included fan-favorite tracks such as “Girl Goin’ Nowhere,” “One Night Standards,” her latest single “Martha Divine.” McBryde also treated fans to a taste of new music, performing a song called “Whiskey And Country Music” from her upcoming yet-to-be announced new project.

“Midnight Rider” is the second single from The Allman Brothers Band’s 1970 album, Idlewild South.

Lainey Wilson served as direct support at the event.

Additionally, the performance comes just one day after McBryde honored Luke Combs at the same venue during the 2021 ACM Honors with a cover of his hit single “She Got The Best Of Me,” which earned her a standing ovation from Combs’ himself as well as the rest of the Ryman crowd.
