Darius Rucker brought summertime vibes during his carefree performance on CMA Summer Jam.
The pre-taped performance found the country superstar performing live from the outdoor stage at Nashville’s brand new Fifth & Broadway complex downtown, the award-winning hitmaker performed his latest chart-topping single, “Beers & Sunshine,” during the star-studded event.
“You know I’m just so honored to be on the CMA Summer Jam and I got lucky I wrote a song with some buddies last year that was kind of a summery song that did pretty good for us,” Rucker said ahead of his performance. “so ya know I wanna go out there and have fun and try to bring some beers and sunshine to everybody.”

Co-written by Rucker alongside Ross Copperman, J.T. Harding and Josh Osborne, “Beers & Sunshine” is the lead single from Rucker’s forthcoming sixth studio country album.
CMA Summer Jam also featured performances from Jimmie Allen, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Mickey Guyton, Miranda Lambert, Carly Pearce, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Cole Swindell, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, and Lainey Wilson.
Additionally, the three-hour show included star-studded collaborations by Bentley with HARDY & BRELAND, Underwood and Dwight Yoakam, Lambert with Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia Line feat. Thomas Rhett, newlyweds Shelton and Stefani, as well as Swindell & Bryan.
CMA Summer Jam aired on Thursday, September 2 (live 8:00-11:00 PM ET) on ABC.
