After much anticipation and several days of teasing fans, Dan + Shay dropped one of our new favorite songs, “I Should Probably Go To Bed” on Friday (July 31) and now the duo has even unleashed a music video for the track, which you can watch below.
This song marks the first new single from the superstar country duo since their “10,000 Hours” collaboration with Justin Bieber. The song that followed their smash hit singles including “Tequila,” “Speechless” and “All To Myself” from their 2018 Self-Titled record.

The song was written earlier this year, the song was produced entirely by the group’s Dan Smyers; every instrument was performed and recorded by Smyers at his home studio in Nashville, TN.
“I Should Probably Go To Bed” will likely appear on their highly-anticipated fourth studio album, although there has been no details given on that as of yet.
“We’re so excited about our brand new single, ‘I Should Probably Go To Bed,’ Dan Smyers shared. “We wrote part of this song in Los Angeles during Grammy Week but finished it at my house, on my piano, kind of by accident. Shay had come over to record vocals on another song that we had written. We took a break, went downstairs, started singing this song, and realized this song needs a big ending. So we really went for it. Shay delivered one of my favorite vocal performances of all time. We’re so proud that this is our new single.”
The duo is selling limited edition autographed vinyls, CDs and cassettes as well as non-autographed ones, HERE.
The duo was forced to postpone their spring leg of the Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour due to the novel coronavirus pandemic earlier this year, where they revealed that it will now be taking place in 2021.
