Chris Lane serenaded an 8-year-old fan during his set in Iowa, making for a moment the young fan will never forget, especially as Lane’s show marked her first ever concert.
The country superstar performed and dedicated his chart-topping single “For Her” to an 8-year-old fan named Macy, on Friday (July 30) at the Roof Garden Ballroom in Arnolds Park, IA.
“Over here in the front, get up here on this stage,” Lane said to the young fan. “Y’all make some noise for Macy in the house tonight!”
After Lane’s tour manager Brandon brought Macy on stage, he dedicated his performance of “For Her” to the fan.
“Alright Macy, come here, I want you to take a seat right here,” Lane began to explain to the fan. “This is going to be so easy for you, alright? You don’t have to do anything, all you got to do is sit there and smile and I’ll take care of the rest. I have a song that I want to dedicate to you right now and it’s called ‘For Her.’”
Throughout the 5-minute video, Lane serenades Macy, launching the song on his knee singing the opening lines to the fan-favorite track: “She’s got a smile / That makes your worst day feel like it’s your birthday / She’s got a laugh / Like confetti would change her name if she let me.”
Both Lane and the young fan were all smiles throughout the one-song performance of the chart-topping single. Lane even gave Macy his hat during the special on stage moment, which prompted a roaring cheer from the crowd and left the fan in shock as she wore his hat proudly until the end of the performance.
In the midst of the performance, Lane even danced with Macy, twirling her as they walked across the stage.
The performance concluded with Lane signing a t-shirt to gift the fan to mark the unforgettable on stage moment with the country superstar. “Y’all make some noise For Her,” the “Big, Big Plans” singer said as the young fan exited the stage.
