Nandi Bushell’s dream of joining the Foo Fighters’ to perform their chart-topping hit live on stage has come true!
The 11-year-old drumming phenomenon, Bushell, joined Dave Grohl on stage to perform “Everlong,” during the Foo Fighters’ show at The Forum in Los Angeles on Thursday (Aug. 26). Grohl introduced Bushell to the stage as “the most badass drummer in the world,” which the capacity crowd greeted the young drummer with a massive chant of her name.
“Tonight was the first night I came face to face with my arch-nemesis!” Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl exclaimed on stage.
“We’ve had the honor to jam with some pretty amazing people over the years. Some Beatles, some [Rolling] Stones, some Pink Floyds. But this one right now takes the cake,” Grohl told the capacity crowd. “That we get to jam with Nandi right now.”

Following her performance, Bushell shared her excitement of her dreams coming true via Twitter.

Grohl and Bushell teamed up for an online drum battle during the global health crisis in August 2020.
Bushell is an 11-year-old drummer that shares covers of popular bands on YouTube. In 2020, she shared a clip on YouTube playing the iconic Foo Fighters’ hit with a special message to the rock frontman and the band.
“My dream is to one day jam with Dave Grohl, @taylorhawkins and all the @foofighters!” Bushell wrote on Twitter alongside the video. “Mr Grohl I would love to have a drum battle with you! I LOVE ‘Everlong’ it’s really hard to play as it’s so fast but so much FUN!”
