Usher honored Prince with a medley of his biggest hits at the 2020 GRAMMYs, joined by Prince’s former bandleader Sheila E on percussion and pop musician FKA Twigs. Usher started the medley with “Little Red Corvette,” adorn in a fashionable sparkling purple jacket, high-waisted pants, cross necklace and black heels. Paying tribute to the late pop icon, Prince.
He continued through his tribute performance with Prince hits like “When Doves Cry” and “Kiss.” Towards the end of the performance the stage did glow a neon purple. The performance was iconic and definitely made the pop icon proud.

Usher paid a subtle tribute to Kobe Bryant with a No. 8 embed on the sleeve of his jacket in jewels in honor of the NBA legend’s original Lakers jersey number. The 62nd Annual GRAMMYs Awards, hosted by Alicia Keys, took place on Sunday, Jan. 26 at Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center. The star-studded show aired live on CBS at 8pm EST.
