Northern California native, Tyler Rich found his love of music gathered around a Christmas tree alongside family singing holiday classics and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Fast forward to graduating college with a degree in Economics, Tyler moved to LA to pursue a different game of numbers – music – exploring various genres with songwriting and bands before taking the leap as a solo artist. His fanbase has grown organically from Sacramento to Nashville where in 2017 he signed a record deal with The Valory Music Co. and publishing agreement with Big Machine Music. While introducing his amplified sound and infectious energy coast to coast, the 2019 Pandora Artist to Watch become a road warrior performing alongside some of the genre’s top acts including Dustin Lynch, Sam Hunt, Brett Eldredge, Justin Moore, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay and Brett Young.

Rich broke onto the country charts with his breakout single “The Difference” which scored him his first Top 20 hit on country radio and his first No. 1 on SiriusXM. Tyler found inspiration once again in his fiancée model/actress Sabina Gadecki, writing his latest single “Leave Her Wild” alongside Chris DeStefano and Jon Nite. Fans are gravitating to the latest single on the road, radio and across digital platforms as it surpasses six million streams to date.

We had a chance to sit down with Tyler Rich and discuss his wedding and honeymoon plans, his upcoming performance on Brantley Gilbert’s ‘Kick It In The Ship’ cruise in November, his latest single “Leave Her Wild” and his most memorable moments from his performances at CMA Fest 2019. Could you tell us a bit about “Leave Her Wild” and the response it’s gotten?
I wrote this song about how important it is to love someone for who they are, and not try to change them. Love and lift up the person you met, not a person you’d like them to be instead. Don’t ever sacrifice part of yourself to be with someone, Find someone that loves you for you. The response has been overwhelming with so many people connecting on different levels. Not just about relationships, but about raising their children. Every night, we see little girls on their dad’s shoulders singing this song at the top of their lungs together, and it’s incredible.

Coming up in November, you will be headed out on Brantley Gilbert’s ‘Kick It In The Ship’ BG Cruise traveling from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico on a 4-day cruise. What are you most looking forward to onboard the cruise?
I’m excited for the opportunity to perform for the BG nation. I’ve heard that Brantley’s fans are some of the best in the world, and I can’t wait to get to know and party with them for that week on the water!

What can fans expect from your performance on the cruise?
We definitely bring the party. The most fun moments of our lives are spent on stage, and we play as hard as we can, every single time we walk up there.

What will you be doing in Cozumel, Mexico when the cruise docks there for the day?
The plan as of now is to rent a snorkeling trip for the band and me! Definitely some relaxation on the beach will also be a must.

The BG Cruise has a few theme nights, which one of those nights is called the ‘Redneck Yacht Club,’ What redneck yacht club attire will you guys be wearing?
Probably a yacht captain hat, my team USA jersey, and my too short US flag Chubbies. lol

There are a lot of unique activities like flip clip tournaments, bowling with Brantley and more, will you be participating in any unique experiences while on the cruise?
YES! We just haven’t figured it out quite yet.

We caught your set at CMA Fest, and it was a great performance. What were three memorable moments for you this year?
Thank you! Getting to perform on the Chevy River Front Stage was incredible, and has been a goal for years. Plus, the HGTV Lodge was such an amazing way to wrap up a slammed week — acoustic, intimate, and air conditioned haha. And, doing back to back meet and greets in the convention center was awesome because there was never a break in the crowd. It was constant, and I’m so thankful to every single fan that waited in line all that time. It still blows my mind!

You and your fiancée’ Sabina are getting married soon, Can you tell us a bit about what your wedding plans are?
We’re getting married right outside of Nashville at the end of September. We met at a music festival, and our lives revolve around traveling and music, so we wanted our wedding to feel like a music festival. Our families can take a step into our lives for a night and celebrate with us. It’s gonna be a big ole party.

Any honeymoon plans you can share?
Sabina is an actress, and just booked a film that starts shooting right after our wedding so we halted immediate honeymoon plans. We are planning now to likely go to Southeast Asia early next year after the holidays when both of our schedules are slower.

You also have a few shows coming up with Jon Pardi, what can fans expect?
Jon is a good buddy of mine, and fellow CA native. We grew up about 30 minutes away from each other, but didn’t meet until I moved to Nashville about 4 years ago. We both represent such a different version of “California Country”, and we’re excited as hell to show Milwaukee and NYC what that is all about this Fall.

What is coming up next?
Music! We will be heading into the studio again soon to record some new music to put out very soon! As well as touring throughout the end of the year all over the map.
