Tyler Rich surprised fans with an anthemic new song entitled “Feels Like Home” on Friday (June 19) via Big Machine Label Group.

The song was penned by Rich alongside Andrew DeRoberts and Jon Nite that abounds free spirit with an enthusiastic chorus yet closes with the reassurance of Sometimes I wish that these doors couldn’t close / Cause it feels like home / So love who you love and smoke what you smoke/ Cause it feels like home. Frequent collaborator Lindsay Rimes served as producer on the unique recording process.

“I came here tonight to forget why I’m here / If you’re with me then why don’t you raise up a beer / Dance with a stranger that you’d like to know / Cause it feels like home / This hole in the wall has a hell of a view,” Rich sings.

“Exploring new cities, meeting strangers, and finding pubs or dive bars that make you feel like home inspired this song. It’s crazy how you can feel an innate sense of comfort in such unfamiliar places. Ironically, we all recorded our parts from home during quarantine, though it has nothing to do with the name of the song,” laughed Tyler. “I hope this song makes people feel nostalgic and reminds us all of our favorite people and places when we need the feel of community even more.”
