“Far Away Places” is featured in a short film by the same name, written by family friend and first time director Tatiana Shanks (17 years old) which has been featured in international film festivals from Berlin and Madrid to Melbourne and Los Angeles, rounding up 23 awards around the globe.

In October of 2015 Toni performed (on stage for the first time) “Redemption Song” with her dad at The Beacon Theatre in NYC. The live recording has since been released on Chris Cornell Anthology album. The next time Toni would perform would be in 2017, following her father and Chester Bennington’s passing. Toni joined OneRepublic and Ryan Tedder on Good Morning America’s summer concert stage to perform a moving rendition of “Hallelujah.” Most recently she took to the stage for the 3rd time with a heartfelt tribute to her dad at the I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell event, performing a duet of “Redemption Song” with Ziggy Marley.
In 2018 Toni released a recording with her father covering Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” in a touching Father’s Day Tribute. All proceeds for the song have been donated to the IRC. Chris Cornell led the #KeepThePromise campaign to commit to preserve human rights around the world, and he inspired others to do the same — to make and keep their own promises to help others. His family vows to fulfill that promise. Led and inspired by her dad, Toni follows her father’s philanthropic footsteps. All proceeds from “Far Away Places” will also be donated to The New York Society For the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NYSPCC) — the first child protection agency in the world protecting the most vulnerable children by preventing and treating child abuse. The NYSPCC was recently selected by The Athlete Assistance Fund (The AAF) to develop a multi-pronged approach to combating child sexual abuse in the sport of gymnastics. The NYSPCC will provide sexual abuse prevention training workshops to athletes, coaches, and parents across the United States to ensure that teen and child athletes are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to keep themselves safe from sexual abuse.
