Thomas Rhett handled his 2022 ACM Awards wardrobe malfunction like an absolute champ!

While chatting with Entertainment Tonight’s Cassie DiLaura, Rhett revealed he suffered a wardrobe malfunction just moments before joining her for an interview ahead of the 57th Academy Of Country Music Awards on Monday, March 7.

The “Slow Down Summer” singer, who was nominated for Male Artist Of The Year and Album Of The Year, requested that the outlet keep the cameras strictly above his waist as before joining DiLaura his pants zipper broke while walking the coveted awards show’s red carpet.

“My zipper fell off right before, so I’m taped up,” Rhett revealed. “So, I’m trying to stand really still right now, so make sure the camera’s just like right here.”

After admitting it wouldn’t be a red carpet appearance without a minor wardrobe mishap, he shared that luckily the ACM Awards had “safety pins and all kinds of stuff that we need” on hand in case of malfunctions.
