Thomas Rhett and Parker McCollum held a fireside performance to end an adventurous weekend outdoors, while teasing a potential collaboration in the works.

The country hitmakers got fans riled up with excitement when Rhett posted a black and white photo via social media of him sitting next to his fellow singer/songwriter, McCollum.

One fan commented, “Don’t play with my emotions like this.” “The crossover we never knew we needed,” said another.

Both holding guitars, with open beer cans in between them, Rhett added the caption, “Good meetin’ you this weekend. We should tour together or somethin’.”

In response, McCollum said, “I’m all about it cuz!” and “Pleasure is all mine TR! I’m about it!”

During their impromptu fireside performance, captured by Wild Wings photographer Aaron Davis, the two country superstars performed a few songs including a cover of Ryan Bingham’s “Southside Of Heaven.” McCollum played the guitar to this tune, while Rhett sang along to the lyrics, “Cause I’ve been lost on them back roads/ And many times, I’ve gone blind/ Losing faith in my family/Had drew me out of my damn mind.”

Last weekend, McCollum and Rhett shared weekend activities, which were captured by Wild Wings, before relaxing by the fire. These artists spent their time duck hunting in Stuttgart, AK. Images from this nature-filled day were shared on the Wild Wings Instagram account.

In addition to “Southside of Heaven,” Rhett also performed his unreleased tune “Half Of Me,” which is expected to be released as a duet with Riley Green. While McCollum performed his latest single “Hell Of A Year” and “Speed.”

“It’s been a hell of a year/How did you see/Who I was and who I was gonna be/I could’ve been right was probably wrong/So many nights wishing I could go home/It’s been a hell of a year/It’s been a hell of a year,” McCollum sang in the beginning of his chart-topping hit, “Hell Of A Year.”

In between their busy schedules, these artists still find the time to go back to their roots and enjoy some downtime. Rhett and his wife Lauren are currently learning how to be parents of four daughters, including their newest little one, Lillie Carolina Akins.

McCollum on the other hand, recently got engaged to now fiancée Hallie Ray, who just shared photos of her bridal shower, which was celebrated in her hometown, McAlester, OK.

Although no tour has been announced yet for this powerful duo, the chances seem pretty likely, as McCollum has now wrapped up his supporting act on Dierks Bentley’s Beers On Me tour. Rhett also finished up his Center Point Roads tour this October and appears to want to get back on the road again very soon.
