A year since his last EP and three years after the release of his album ‘Starboy’ in 2016, The Weeknd has returned with a new single “Heartless,” his first taste in new music.
Reflecting on his savage lifestyle in the new single singing, “Yeah, I want it all now / I’ve been running through the pussy / Need a dog pound, A hundred models getting faded in the compound / Tryna love me, but they never get a pulse down.”
“Heartless” marks the first solo music from The Weeknd since his 2018 EP, My Dear Melancholy. A second single titled “Blinding Lights” is expected to debut later this week and also appears in a new commercial for Mercedes-Benz. The Weeknd is also set to feature in Uncut Gems, a new film by Josh and Benny Safdie and starring Adam Sandler.
“Heartless” was produced by Metro Boomin and Illangelo alongside The Weeknd.
