The Chicks, Billie Eilish, John Legend and more to perform at the 2020 Democratic National Convention which kicks off on Monday (Aug. 17) evening and will run through Thursday (Aug. 20) in preparation for the forthcoming presidential election.
Tonight’s schedule includes speeches from Michelle Obama, New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo, Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar and performances from Maggie Rogers and Leon Bridges.
The convention is being held virtually, Joe Biden will be accepting the Democratic party’s nomination for President with Kamala Harris as his running mate (Vice President).
Over the course of the four day convention, The Chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks), John Legend, Billie Eilish and Jennifer Hudson will perform between speeches by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Biden is expected to deliver his acceptance speech of his Presidential nomination on Thursday (Aug. 20), while his running mate Harris will speak on Wednesday (Aug. 19) followed by President Obama.
The Democratic National Convention will air each evening from 9-11 p.m. EST.
