The 1975 kicked off their massive ‘Music For Cars’ headlining U.S. tour with a two-night residency at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ with the first of the two nights (Nov. 16 & 17) being sold out completely with fans highly anxious to see their incredible live performance. Some fans even camping out for days just to grasp a spot on the barricade in front of Matty Healy and co.
After impressive performances from Laundry Day and MUNA, The show kicked into high-gear immediately kicking off with their song “People” then continuing to power through tons of other fan favorite hits like “Somebody Else,” “Give Yourself A Try,” “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME,” “She’s American,” “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You),” “Love Me,” and several others. The band even live debuted “Frail State Of Mind” at this show which is a song from their forthcoming new album, Notes On A Conditional Form, playing the song for the very first time live and fans were ecstatic, which you can watch below. Ending their larger-than-life performance with them anthemic “Love It If We Made It,” “Chocolate,” “Sex” and “The Sound.”
Their production value was a force to be reckoned with as they brought their signature vibrant lighting rig along with them, a massive video wall backdrop that was complete with stunning visuals throughout the entire show, fog and flawless light shows throughout the evening.
The 1975 are currently touring and finishing up the recording and production process of their upcoming album, Notes On A Conditional Form. The new album is set to be released on February 21, 2020 through Interscope Records/Dirty Hit. The band has released three tracks from the forthcoming album already including “The 1975 (Intro feat. Greta Thunberg),” “People” and “Frail State Of Mind.”
