Taylor Swift just unveiled via an Instagram live that she released another new song “The Archer” from her forthcoming seventh studio album, Lover, which is out on August 23rd, 2019. This song is not a single as Swift mentioned in her Instagram live but is her newest song off the forthcoming new album, following singles “ME!” and “You Need To Calm Down.”

The Jack Antonoff-produced song is a somber, synth-heavy ballad centered around the metaphor of the archer, which is also Swift’s birth sign, as she’s a Sagittarius. The track follows in the informal tradition of Swift making the fifth track on her record the emotional and personal centerpiece (previous examples include “White Horse,” “All Too Well” and “Delicate”).

Along with the new song, Swift also unveiled the details of a new release that isn’t music but is 120 pages from her old diaries, which she kept since she was just thirteen, inside of the deluxe editions of her new album, Lover. Pages will include “pictures drawn, photos of that time in my life,” along with original lyrics to songs like “All Too Well” and more.

Swift has been swirling in success for awhile, from appearing in the forthcoming new films, Cats to releasing new music and receiving 10 Nominations for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, 7 of which are for her single “You Need To Calm Down,” including Video of The Year and 3 for “ME!” The MTV VMA’s will be airing live from Prudential Center in New Jersey on Monday, August 26th at 8PM EST.
