As we reported earlier last week, Taylor Swift is performing on ‘Good Morning America’ on Thursday, August 22nd, live from Central Park just one day ahead of the release of her highly anticipated album, Lover, which comes out on August 23rd. We wanted to give you an all you need to know about the performance and how you can be in attendance to see it and if you are attending what you need to know about.

Below is a list of what you need to know before attending:

  • Tickets: tickets are required to attend this free concert, sponsored by Capital One.
    • Please note there are two chances to get tickets:
  • Location: Rumsey Playfield in New York City Central Park. The best way to enter Rumsey Playfield, also known as Central Park Summerstage, is at 5th Avenue and 72nd Street.
  • Audience should arrive by 5:30 a.m. on the concert date and Doors open at 6 a.m.
    • Because of the large number of people that attend each summer concert, arriving early is strongly recommended. If you arrive after 6:30 a.m., “Good Morning America” CANNOT guarantee you access. Access is on a first come, first serve basis and will be permitted until capacity is reached in the venue.
  • The show will air from 7AM-9AM with a sound check by the performer which usually takes place at about 7:30AM. The concert usually starts at 8:30AM, The artist will perform 3-4 songs. The concert will end at 9AM and the concert audience is then dismissed.
  • Backpacks or bags are not permitted inside the venue.
  • Bring an umbrella just in case it rains.
  • Wear comfortable shoes as you will have to stand.
  • If you are handicap or traveling with someone who needs a chair, seating can be provided.
    • The park is accessible by wheelchair. (The “Good Morning America” staff and security are willing to assist if you need help.)
