After days of speculation from fans about a Butterfly mural that appeared in the gulch of Nashville about a week ago, and them saying it had some sort of relation to Taylor Swift’s new record and her surprise midnight announcement tonight, Swift has now proven that they’re correct by showing up today (April 25) to the painting. Just hours before the surprise announcement tonight at midnight, after two artists showed up to add paint to the already perfect mural. The mural perfectly matches the theme of Swift’s latest Instagram posts and the countdown clock that’s been teasing her new era with the pastel colors, pinks, flowers, butterflies, glitter and more and it only made sense that it had relation to Swift’s announcement. Fans also spotted 2 cats in the mural of which Swift has, 13 hearts which is her favorite number.

The butterfly wings had a touch up today in Nashville by artist Kelsey Montague, and the word ‘ME!’ was added between the wings in black paint. Montague told News 2 that she just wanted to freshen up the paint of the mural for the first day of the NFL Draft in Nashville. However we think that wasn’t the actual case and she had to make it look even better for when Swift showed up to see it today.

Hundreds of fans have shown up hours in advance of her appearance with anticipation of Swift possibly making an announcement at the Nashville Gulch butterfly mural and they were glad that they did as Swift showed up. Although nothing was announced at her appearance, she did say in an Instagram story before she showed up that she did in-fact have this mural commissioned and it includes hints on the new single and new music within it.
