Several of country music’s biggest stars are coming together for a new tribute album in honor of The Rolling Stones’ 60th Anniversary.

Produced by Robert Deaton, Stoned Cold Country will feature Jimmie Allen, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Eric Church, Steve Earle, Elle King, Marcus King, Little Big Town, Ashley McBryde, Maren Morris, Elvie Shane, Koe Wetzel, The War And Treaty, Lainey Wilson and Zac Brown Band.

“This album is Country Music’s thank you to The Rolling Stones for 60 years of inspiration and providing the soundtrack of our lives. While recording the record, I was reminded that this is a showcase and spotlight on the best we have to offer as a genre,” Deaton says of the project. “From our artists to all of the musicians that played on the record, we boldly state that Country Music is second to none when it comes to artists of integrity and creativity.”

Releasing in 2023, the project will include reimagined versions of some of the legendary rock band’s most iconic tracks, including ”(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” “Angie,” “Paint It Black,” “Gimme Shelter,” and more.

Each artist will add their signature flair to The Rolling Stones’ hits in an effort to pay homage to the trailblazing musical group.

Little Big Town honored Miranda Lambert with a special tribute performance that brought the Texas native to tears during the 15th Annual ACM Honors at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

The award-winning quartet, composed of Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet, delivered an emotional cover of “The House That Built Me,” a track dubbed the ACM Song Of The Decade that was co-written by Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin that appears on Lambert’s third studio album, Revolution.

The performance, which was taped in Music City on August 24 to later air on FOX, found Fairchild taking on lead vocals as bandmates Westbrook and Sweet strummed their acoustic guitars. In addition, Schlapman flawlessly blended her vocals with Fairchild’s throughout the performance before the quartet joined forces and beautifully harmonized on the track’s chorus.

As the tribute came to a close, Fairchild congratulated Lambert as the camera panned to show the “If I Was A Cowboy” singer wiping away tears from her eyes. “Congratulations Miranda,” Fairchild said, “We love you so much.”

The audience then offered a roaring applause as tears streamed down Lambert’s face.

Prior to their performance, Fairchild told PEOPLE about their song choice for the heartfelt tribute.

“We could have picked a million things,” Fairchild told the outlet, “but that song won ACM song of the decade. We’ve heard her sing it on the road a bunch, but as we got ready for this, we listened back to the recording, and it’s not just the magic of the way the song was written — which literally is magic — but her delivery and storytelling that’s so beautiful and direct.”

During the show, Brooks & Dunn also honored Lambert with a fiery performance of her 2005 hit, “Kerosene,” which was certainly a highlight of the evening.

Lambert received the coveted Triple Crown Award during the awards show, a prestigious honor that is awarded to an artist after they receive ACM awards for New Artist Of The Year, Female or Male Artist Of The Year, and Entertainer Of The Year.

As the most celebrated artist in Academy Of Country Music Awards history with 37 wins, Lambert is one of only seven artists who have been awarded the Triple Crown Award. Lambert now joins the ranks of Brooks & Dunn, Barbara Mandrell, Kenny Chesney, Mickey Gilley and Merle Haggard (who each received the award in 2005), Carrie Underwood (2009) and Jason Aldean (2015).

Keith Urban and The Chicks have also qualified for the Triple Crown Award, but have yet to receive the honor.

Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town honored the late Naomi Judd during The Bandwagon Tour kickoff on Friday, May 6, at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas.

A fan captured the country superstars delivering a heartfelt tribute performance and shared it on Instagram.

In the clip, Lambert and Little Big Town, comprised of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook, are seen singing The Judds’ “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout The Good Old Days),” a track from the award-winning duo’s second studio album, Rockin’ with the Rhythm.

As their performance came to a close, the lights went down and the singers appeared as silhouettes in front of a photo of the late Country Music Hall of Fame member.

“Did lovers really fall in love to stay / And stand beside each other, come what may? / Was a promise really something people kept / Not just something they would say / Did families really bow their heads to pray? / Did daddies really never go away? / Oh, grandpa, tell me ’bout the good old days,” Lambert and award-winning quartet sang on the track’s chorus.

Watch the heartfelt tribute performance below.

Upon hearing the news of Naomi’s tragic death, Lambert took to social media to mourn the loss of the late Judds’ singer and share that she’s “heartbroken” to learn of her passing.

“I’m thankful I got to spend just a little time with you Naomi. True legend,” Lambert wrote. “Praying for peace for this family. Rest easy. 💔

Naomi Judd passed away at the age of 76 on Saturday (April 30), shocking the country music community.

Her passing was revealed on social media in a statement from her daughters. “Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness,” the statement read. “We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory.”

The unfortunate news comes just weeks after Naomi Judd and Wynonna Judd reunited for a performance of “Love Can Build A Bridge” at the 2022 CMT Music Awards.

Their performance coincided with the announcement of The Judds’ farewell tour, which was set to kick off on September 30 and hit 10 cities with support from Martina McBride.

The mother-daughter duo earned 14 No. 1 hits during their career that spanned nearly three decades, including “Love Can Build a Bridge,” “Mama He’s Crazy,” “Why Not Me,” “Turn It Loose,” “Girls Night Out,” “Rockin’ With the Rhythm of the Rain” and “Grandpa.”

Re-Live The Judds’ Final Performance Of “Love Can Build A Bridge”

The Judds toured in the ’80s where they had a catalog of twenty Top 10 hits, 20 million-plus albums sold, a combined 16 Gold, Platinum, and multi-Platinum albums, and The Judds Greatest Hits.

Since launching their career in 1983, the duo went on to release six studio albums and an EP. The superstar pair have also won several awards, including nine CMA Awards, seven Academy Of Country Music Awards and five GRAMMY Awards for hits like “Why Not Me” and “Give A Little Love.”

After rising to fame, the iconic country duo broke up in 1991 after Doctors diagnosed Naomi with hepatitis c.

In addition to her celebrated music career, Naomi was also an actress, having appeared in several TV movies and TV series.

Jimmie Allen, Little Big Town and Monica teamed up for a hopeful performance of their collaborative track, “Pray,” during the 2022 CMT Music Awards on Monday, April 11.

Live from Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium, the trio of superstars performed the uplifting track for the first-time ever during the coveted awards ceremony. The performance also marked Monica’s first-ever appearance on the show.

Surrounded by stunning visuals, Allen kicked off the performance from behind a piano before Monica and Little Big Town joined him on stage to finish out the song, all donning white ensembles.

Allen opened up about the song prior to the show.

“The song ‘Prayer’ that I’m doing with Little Big Town and Monica, it kind of ties into all that, a lot of times in life you go through things in life and a lot of times prayer has been the main thing that’s pulled me through,” Allen shared ahead of his performance.

“The ability to grab control of their life. To no longer be a prisoner to other people’s opinions of who they should be. You know, if they find themselves struggling with something, they find themselves wanting something to pray for it,” Allen added. “You know, because a lot of times, prayer isn’t really about always getting the answer. A lot of time prayer is therapy. It’s you getting things off your chest and sometimes you get an answer and sometimes you don’t, but either way you’re talking about it. So, I hope people are open to talk about whatever they’re going through, not only the good stuff but also the bad stuff too and realize there’s help out there – whether it’s God, a friend, or a family member.”

“Pray” appears on Allen’s 2020 collaborative EP, Bettie James.

An old video of Morgan Wallen covering “Better Man” has resurfaced online following the release of Taylor Swift’s re-recorded version of Red, which features Swift’s rendition of the song.

The chart-topping song was solely penned by Swift with the intention of recording the track for her fourth studio album, Red. After cutting down the collection, Swift thought the song would be better suited for Little Big Town – as the quartet’s harmonies would compliment the original melody.

The award-winning country quartet later recorded the song for their eighth studio album, The Breaker, in February 2017. Following the release, the track received praise and went on to win several awards, including – Single of the Year at the 2017 CMA Awards, as well as a CMT Award, and even scored a GRAMMY.

Fast-forward to 2021, Swift surprised fans by pulling her rendition of “Better Man” from the vault for her re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version).

Following the hype over Taylor’s version, a video of Morgan Wallen covering the smash hit has resurfaced on TikTok. However, the clip was filmed early on in Wallen’s career before he grew his signature mullet that fans have grown to adore.

The chilling cover garnered over hundreds of thousands of views and has fans begging the East Tennessee native to release his acoustic version of the chart-topping country hit.

Watch Wallen’s cover of “Better Man” below.

Dozens of fans have expressed interest in hearing a full recording of Wallen’s version of “Better Man.” They have flooded the comments and share reaction videos to his rendition of the critically acclaimed tune.

One TikTok user wrote, “This is my petition for Morgan Wallen to release his version of Better Man.”

“How am I just now hearing this right after Taylor’s version came out. I am now demanding better man (Morgan Wallen’s version),” another overly excited fan added.

“Demanding Morgan releases his cover of this right now,” another shocked fan added.

While several other fans added, “the cover we didn’t know we needed,” and “why is this not recorded, ASAP.”

Other fans are begging Swift to record a duet of the song with Wallen.

No official petitions have been launched to campaign for Wallen’s version of the track, however, several fans said they would sign it in a heartbeat.

Wallen’s record-breaking sophomore project, Dangerous: The Double Album, is projected to end the year as the best-selling album of 2021 across all genres.

The prediction was released by Hits Daily Double on Tuesday, who claimed that Dangerous is expected to close out the year with 3.2 million copies sold.

According to the publication, Wallen’s album will finish out the year ahead of Olivia Rodrigo’s debut project, SOUR, which is projected to close out the year with approximately 2.75 million in sales. While Drake’s Certified Lover Boy is slated to complete the year at No. 3.

The “Sand In My Boots” singer will become the first country artist to close out the year with the best-selling album in any genre since Taylor Swift’s seminal album, Fearless, in 2009.
