Travis Tritt issued a statement with fans, giving an update on the injury that forced him to cancel the remaining dates of the ‘Can’t Miss Tour’ with Chris Janson.

The “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” singer took to social media on Saturday (Nov. 12) to update fan fans on his knee injury.

“Update: An MRI this week revealed that I do have a torn meniscus in my left knee as I’d suspected,” Tritt wrote on Twitter. “I plan to return to the road to play my remaining 2022 shows from December 1 thru December 10. My knee surgery will take place in mid December.”

Tritt also clarified and confirmed that she will be “good to go way before” his tour dates in July of 2023.

Tritt took to social media to share the unfortunate news of his tour cancellation with fans on Tuesday, November 1.

“I have been experiencing severe pain in my left knee for the past few weeks due to a possible torn meniscus,” Tritt wrote. ”With short bits of rest between shows, I had hoped that the pain would eventually subside and I could complete all of my remaining dates in November, including all the dates on the current ‘Can’t Miss Tour’ with Chris Janson and War Hippies.”

He went on to explain that the pain he is currently enduring is unbearable and he can no longer tour until he recovers from the injury.

“Unfortunately, the pain has become impossible to ignore and I will not be able to do any further shows in November,” Tritt continued. ”Refunds for these shows will be available at point of ticket purchase. I appreciate everyone’s understanding and I hope to return to the road as soon as possible.”

According to Tritt, the list of dates canceled include:

11/3 Greensboro, NC
11/4 Florence, SC
11/5 Richmond, VA
11/11 Tupelo, MS
11/12 Choctaw, MS
11/18 Pensacola, FL
11/19 Atlanta, GA

The news comes after the artists were forced to cancel their Estero, Florida concert due to the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Additionally, Tritt and Janson recently announced the cancellation of their Nov. 10th concert in Anderson, South Carolina, citing “reasons beyond our control.”

While Janson has yet to comment on the cancellation of the tour, several venues have alerted fans of the news via social media.

The artists announced the co-headlining trek earlier this year after teaming up to release the song “Things You Can’t Live Without.” The duet appears on Janson’s latest album, All In, which was released in April.

“I’m really looking forward to the ‘Can’t Miss Tour’ with Chris this Fall. Our high-energy performances complement each other so well. Audiences are going to be thoroughly entertained,” Tritt shared upon the announcement of the tour.

Janson added, “Excited to be out touring with one of my favorites. It’s gonna be a rowdy fall, and I’m looking forward to it!”

On working with Tritt in the studio, Janson told Country Now that “Things You Can’t Live Without” came out better than he could have imagined.

“He absolutely crushed it, just like I knew he would,” he shared. “It’s one of my favorite collaborations to date.”

In addition to working with Tritt, the pair also formed a bond outside of the studio. “Travis is a great guy and turned out to be a really good friend,” he added.

Janson is scheduled to take the stage in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry on November 1 and December 11.

According to Tritt’s official website, the “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” singer’s next scheduled tour date will take place on Thursday, December 1 in Abilene, Texas at Wylie PAC.

Eric Church surprised the crowd at Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colorado with a special guest, his longtime friend Chris Janson.

On Thursday (June 23), Church welcomed Janson to the stage during his headlining set after a brief introduction.

“This next song… I’m going to do a surprise, kind of special thing here. A good buddy of mine played before me, Mr. Chris Janson, and we had a chance to record together earlier this year,” Church said. “We have not really done this since we were in the recording studio, but I’m never on the stage with him and never get a chance to be. So, we thought tonight as a debut at Country Jam, we would try this.”

Janson then joined Church to deliver the live debut of their fan-favorite duet “You, Me & The River.”

“You, Me & The River” was written solely by Church and marks the first song Janson has cut that he didn’t have a hand in writing.

“Hey buddy, hey buddy, ain’t that Mississippi muddy / In this town, well, yeah, she takes what you give her / So tonight I lay me down to sleep / And pray my soul and my secret to keep / Between you, me and the river,” Janson and Church sing on the chorus.

Janson revealed that he was actually pitched “You, Me & The River” by Church via text.

“I just said, ’You know what? I would record this. The song is pretty badass,” Janson recalled. “I was like, ’You wanna do a duet?’ He hit me back. ’I’m in.’ I was like, ’Oh my God, I can’t even believe it.’ I told (my wife), I guess I’m doing an Eric Church duet for the new album.”

The pair have gone on to form a friendship and Janson says it’s “been amazing.”

“You, Me & The River” isn’t the only song Church contributed to on Janson’s new album, All In, as Church also co-wrote another track on the project, “Flag On The Wall.”

Janson and Church recently brought their duet to life with a haunting new music video.

Directed by Church’s longtime collaborator, Reid Long, the black and white clip opens with Church dragging a body into a river. Janson then appears driving to a wooded area to bury a body that later appears to be Church.

The storyline, which plays out like a mini-movie, intertwines with clips of Janson and Church in what appears to be an interrogation room while singing the song as if they were being questioned about a murder.

The two appear to be haunting each other in other scenes of the soul-stirring clip.

Janson recently spoke with CMT about “pretty intense” filming process and compared the music video to the Netflix drama series, Ozark.

“At the end of the day, this video was a blast to make – but it was creepy too, and that was fun in a whole new way!” Janson added. “It was real acting. And Eric Church is a trooper, man. He said, ’Throw a bunch of dirt on my face.’ So I covered my buddy up in dirt on a cold spring night. Like I said… creepy!”

“You, Me & The River” Appears On Chris Janson’s New Album All In

Out now, All In features 16 tracks, including his Eric Church collaboration and another duet with Travis Tritt. The project also includes his latest single, “Bye Mom,” as well as the previously released songs “Cold Beer Truth,” and “Keys To The Country.”

“The title ‘All In’ epitomizes this album,” Janson previously shared. “There are all kinds of songs on this project, but they all flow together because they are genuine to me. I went all in on every part of the process, from writing to singing to playing to producing. I feel like it’s my best, most true-to-myself album to date.”

Co-produced by Janson alongside Tommy Cecil, Zach Crowell and Brad Clawson, All In includes co-writes with some of Nashville’s most sought after songwriters, including Church, Ashley Gorley, David Lee Murphy, Rhett Akins, Casey Beathard, Dallas Davidson and more.

Country hitmakers Chris Janson and Travis Tritt are hitting the road together later this year!

Janson and Tritt, two of Country Music’s most dynamic performers, announced that they will be embarking on a co-headline tour this fall. The trek, dubbed The Can’t Miss Tour, will kick off on October 7 in Huntington, West Virginia and feature support from country newcomers War Hippies, the newly-formed duo of Scooter Brown and Donnie Reis.

The pair of superstars, who are both known for their high-energy concerts, are excited to hit the road together.

“I’m really looking forward to the ‘Can’t Miss Tour’ with Chris this Fall. Our high-energy performances complement each other so well. Audiences are going to be thoroughly entertained,” Tritt shared of the trek.

Janson added, “Excited to be out touring with one of my favorites. It’s gonna be a rowdy fall, and I’m looking forward to it!”

The tour announcement comes after the award-winning country stars teamed up for “Things You Can’t Live Without,” a duet that appears on Janson’s just-released fourth studio album, All In

Co-written by Janson alongside David Lee Murphy, Deric Ruttan and Chris Stevens, “Things You Can’t Live Without” is a straight-up country banger filled with an steel guitar-infused instrumental that takes listeners back to the ’90s. We have to also note Janson’s impressive harmonica solo in the track.

“That was the vibe that I wanted when we wrote it,” Janson said in response to Tritt, who told him the tune sounded like a song that he would have had a hit with in the ‘90s (per CMT). “I wrote it with David Lee Murphy and it’s par for the course. From day one, I said, ‘I’ve got to get Travis on this with me.’ It would just be so killer. Dream day, big win, it’s same thing I’ve always been saying. I asked and he said yes. Then it was, ‘Poof, off to the races.’”

The pair shared a music video to accompany the song, directed and filmed by David Bradley of Osprey Media, which you can watch below.

Country hitmakers Jon Pardi, Chris Janson and Riley Green kept the party going on New Year’s Eve with lively covers of Hank Williams Jr. and Dwight Yoakam.

The trio of country superstars paid tribute to the 90s country icons while performing at Nashville’s Skydeck at Assembly Food Hall during New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.

Joining forces to perform Hank Jr.’s chart-topping hit, “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight,” Pardi, Janson and Green got the sold-out crowd fired up as they traded verses throughout the country party song.

Janson stole the show with his signature harmonica solo. Click below to watch.

In addition to paying homage to Hank Jr., Green, Janson and Pardi also tipped their hats to Dwight Yoakam with a special performance of “Honky Tonk Man.”

“Honky Tonk Man,” which appears as the debut single on Yoakam’s 1986 album, Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc, was originally co-written and performed by Johnny Horton. Pardi later covered the track on his 8-track covers project, Rancho Fiesta Sessions.

Backed by a full band, the rowdy performance featured the three chart-topping singers playing acoustic guitar while singing the Yoakam classic.

Country music-goers have recognized Chris Janson’s remarkable pipes, but on Thursday, Sept 2, the world got to see his heart of gold as well. Kelly Janson recently took to Instagram to share a small act of kindness that her megastar husband did for a helpful Kroger employee.

“So today, I asked @thechrisjanson to run back up to Kroger to pick up some outdoor plants. My sweet husband asks the worker to help him, and she recognized him & started showing pictures of her grandchild who is an aspiring singer,” shares Kelly Janson on Instagram about the memorable moment.

“Chris immediately called his production manager Jason Bittinger & had him meet him at the store to surprise the grandmother that is raising her grandkids. “Her story touched his heart,” @thechrisjanson said. Jason actually filmed it as she thought he was back for more plants! #crying ❤ heartwarming…. @chrisjansonpm ❤,” she adds.

The heartfelt caption was paired with a touching clip of Janson surprising his hardworking fan outside of the grocery store with a personal guitar for her grandchild. “I actually brought you this for your kid,” says Chris with a guitar case in hand. “Now, this is a used case…this is straight off my tour bus, and now you don’t have to go buy her one for Christmas.”

The fan couldn’t believe her eyes, as she was full of emotion and speechless from the kind gesture. According to the video, it seems like the two had a chilling conversation about her grandkid hoping to pursue music and picking up the guitar as a hobby.

He continued to say that if she wants to buy her grandkid a new acoustic guitar, she could. However, he stressed that the one he is gifting her, would be a perfect fit since she is small.

“It touched my heart so much when you told me that,” shares the “Good Vibes” singer. “So anyway, this is for her,” he said while handing the Kroger employee a vintage-looking string guitar.

Chris went on to point out the essential features that the instrument has, that would help the young aspiring musicians. For instance, an electric plug, and he even went the extra mile to show the grandmother how to tune the guitar.

It didn’t take long for Janson fanatics to praise his thoughtfulness in the comments. “This is why I’m a fan! I mean – the music is great, but the heart…that’s where it’s at❤,” says a social media user. “Blessing others with your blessings! This is human kindness at its best! 😍” shared another.

Luke Bryan says Chris Janson “crushed” his performance at the 2021 ACM Honors ceremony.

The country superstar and ACM award winner paid tribute to the late Curly Putman with a cover of George Jones’ “He Stopped Loving Her Today” on Wednesday (Aug. 25) during the 2021 ACM Honors award ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee at The Ryman Auditorium. Janson, wearing a black cowboy hat, performed the iconic hit with the house band at the honors ceremony.

Putman was honored alongside Loretta Lynn and Gretchen Peters with the ACM Poet’s Award.

“Oh this is an awesome moment, thank you guys! Our next Poet’s Award honoree is an Alabama native, who was never afraid to get emotional with a song or his lyrics, the late Curly Putman,” Janson told the capacity crowd ahead of his performance. “He penned classic hits in the 1980s, the 1990s and so many artists got their career started with the help of a songwriting wizard.”

Watch Janson’s performance below.

Following a massive standing ovation, Janson praised Putman’s songwriting talents and how honored he was to accept the award on behalf of the late country songwriter.

“Any country music singer for that matter and especially the traditional country music singers here tonight will tell you that is nerve-wracking as hell. I’m so grateful and listen guys… It’s more than an honor to me personally to be making an acception for this award on behalf of the remarkable Curly. But ladies & gentleman I know his son Troy, by the way he’s with us tonight with a round of applause please. We’re both honored, we’re all honored. His contribution to Country music is gonna live on forever, it’s always going to be remember and it plays on through the years.”

Janson then recalled the moment his songwriting career started on Music Row in a co-write with Bobby Braddock and Putman.

“I also want to say when I was 19-years-old, I was fresh out of Tootsies Orchid Lounge and I got my first writing appointment on Nashville’s Music Row and I walked in to a smokey-filled room at the Sony Fire Hall, and there was a bunch of older gentleman sitting there, white Reebox, shirts tucked in, cowboy hats with feathers,” Janson recalled.

Janson continued, “You know who I just described? I described Curly, I described Max Barnes, and I described Jerry Chestnut. And I walked in there and I saw pictures of all the country greats and all the country great heroes and the hero songwriters. At 19-years-old I had no idea what I was walking into except man if this is what the life is like it is cool as hell. These guys are drinking beer at 9 o’clock in the morning, they already went through one pack of Marlboro Reds and they don’t say hi. I walked on through and I said ‘hey guys.’ I walked through to the back to my first co-write on Music Row with the co-writer of that great song Bobby Braddock and that’s where my songwriting career started right then. Thanks for letting me sing together and thank you Curly.”

A day after his epic performance, Janson expressed how grateful he was to get to pay tribute to Putman with his performance on the Jones’ classic.

“So grateful to stand and honor Curly Putman last night and his ACM Poet’s Award at the #ACMHonors for his and Bobby Braddock’s songwriting behind ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today.’ Such a grand night celebrating everyone in the country music world,” Janson shared on Instagram on Thursday (Aug. 26).

Fellow country superstar, Luke Bryan, praised his cover of George Jones’ iconic country hit saying “crushed it.”

Hosted by Carly Pearce, the 2021 ACM Honors also featured performances by Ronnie Dunn, Trace Adkins, Caylee Hammack, Lauren Alaina, HARDY, Devin Dawson, Raelynn, Alan Jackson, Lee Ann Womack, several prolific songwriters and many others.
