Circa Survive powered through a blistering set of music on the Atlantic City, NJ beach this weekend at the 25th Anniversary of Vans Warped Tour, ending with an epic crowd surf attempt by frontman Anthony Green from the stage to the ocean. Green told the fans that he grew up playing in the waters on the New Jersey beaches and that he wanted his fans to crowd surf him into the ocean and feed him to a shark.

Well, They definitley did get him from the stage to the ocean via surfing the sold out crowd and thankfully Green did not get attacked or fed to a shark in the process.

Taste Of Chaos Tour—in Philadelphia, PA at The SOLD OUT Festival Pier in Penn’s Landing on June 19th, 2016—started off the day with close to home, New Jersey rock band, The Early November.  The Early November started off strong with “Decoration,” which came off their 2nd full length album The Mother, the Mechanic, and the Path. Ace Enders always puts out an exceptional performance rather it be with The Early November or with one of his side projects, Ender’s voice is flawless and impeccable and all while he has a huge smile on his face throughout their entire set. The Early November performing fan favorites like “Tell Me Why,” and “I Want To Hear You Sad.” As well as newer tracks like “Narrow Mouth,” and “I Don’t Care” off their 2015 forth full length record titled Imbue.  Frontman Ace Enders telling the crowd “This has been one of the best shows of the tour so far.”TEN putting out a very fan interactive set igniting the energy in the fans to get them ready for the wrath of Saosin w/ Anthony Green.

Saosin taking the stage next, with frontman Anthony Green back at the mic. Launching their very energetic set with “Racing Toward A Red Light” fresh off their latest 2016 release of Along The Shadow (via Epitaph Records). Then taking us back to 2003 with the title track of their debut release, “Translating The Name.” Anthony Green very energy filled using up every inch of the stage during their entire set, as his family watched from side stage and his children even making an appearance on stage every now and again as it was Father’s Day and Green is a dad of 3 little gods as he would call them.  His energy very contagious and it just makes you want to move as the crowd flooded over the barricade and went wild during “The Silver String” another new track from Along The Shadow which happens to be a very catchy song that the crowd screamed every lyric to. Performing some other fan favorite hits like “3rd Measurement in C,” and “I Can Tell There Was An Accident Here Earlier,” before going into more new material like “Illusion & Control,” “Control and The Urge To Pray,” and of course ending their set with one of Saosin’s biggest hits and a favorite of many “Seven Years” where Anthony Green flawlessly crowd surfed from the stage to the soundboard climbing into the rafters above it before ending the extraordinary set. Any project Anthony Green is apart of is a guaranteed success with his one of a kind voice complimenting the instrumentals.

Taking to the stage next was Philadelphia’s own Hometown heroes, The Starting Line making their inaugural return to live music in Philadelphia after about a decade long hiatus. From the moment Kenny Vasoli stepped onto the stage to perform “Up & Go” until the moment The Starting Line finished playing fan favorite “The Best Of Me” was a non-stop sing along full of energy with the crowd singing louder then the band’s frontman (10,000 people at the SOLD OUT Festival Pier). The band had a constant flow of crowd surfers finding their way to the barricade one after another, during every single song.  The Starting Line was definitely an incredible addition to the Philadelphia date of Taste Of Chaos.

Long Island, NY rockers, Taking Back Sunday hitting the stage next as their backdrop unveiled a massive American Flag as they launched into a huge hit “Cute Without The ‘E’ (Cut From The Team)” off their debut album, Tell All Your Friends. Taking Back Sunday is one of those bands with hit after hit that conquered and still conquer the radio airwaves to this day playing hits like “Flicker, Fade,” “Liar (It Takes One To Know One),” and “What’s It Feel Like To Be a Ghost.” Fans loved every second of their set and frontman Adam Lazzara fed off their explosive energy levels running around the stage and at times jumping as he sang the lyrics to everyone in attendances favorite songs. Taking Back Sunday sounding better then I have ever heard them before evening taking advantage of this tour to showcase some new music to fans, performing a few new songs “Tidal Wave,” and “Holy Water.” Both are which flawless and impeccable, and definitely going to be huge hits when they are officially released on their new record. Anytime Taking Back Sunday comes through your city, its a must to go see them as they never fail to put on one fabulous live show you wont regret seeing.

Dashboard Confessional, headlining the show tonight in Philly. Starting their set with one their biggest hits and a huge success for their career, “Vindicated” off of their forth studio album, Dusk and Summer released in 2006. Dashboard playing a variety of songs and even splitting their set between full band & acoustic sets twice giving something to every one of their fans in attendance. Being Dashboard has not released an album since the re-release of The Swiss Army Romance they are still current and fans are still loving every second of every live show they have.

Overall, Taste Of Chaos is an incredible lineup, with a lot of throwback bands who are making comebacks today with great new music. You should go out to a Taste of Chaos tour date while you still can and if you cannot you definitely need to check out all of these artists new music and catch them on a tour date when they come through your city!

Saosin has reunited with original front man Anthony Green for the first time to create new music since their debut EP in 2003. So far, they have shared new songs “The Silver String” and “Racing Toward a Red Light”. Today, Saosin has premiered the third new song and a video for “Control and The Urge to Pray”. Visit Billboard to watch now. All songs are on the band’s new album, Along the Shadow, available in stores May 20.

Along the Shadow is an adventurous rush of energy; equal parts confidence and vulnerability. It is the total musical experience of the classic Saosin line up: vocalist/lyricist Anthony Green, guitarist Beau Burchell, bassist Chris Sorenson, and drummer Alex Rodriguez. Sorenson produced Along the Shadow and Burchell engineered, with Green’s longtime collaborator Will Yip (Circa Survive, Title Fight, mewithoutYou) handling vocal production. Along the Shadow is the homecoming of Green whose instantly recognizable signature vocals and ambitious creative energy fuels an accomplished body of work. It is an album that straddles the line between metalcore angst and melodic experimentalism; a perfect balance of what makes Saosin’s music

Pre-orders for Along the Shadow are available now at https://saosin.lnk.to/ATS. Saosin will join the Taste of Chaos tour this summer with all tour dates listed below.

According to frontman Anthony Green, we will get our long-awaited first taste of Saosin’s comeback material in the spring of 2016. In September, the band had finished writing their comeback effort and were in the process of having it tracked. The band began working on the LP in August. Back in February, guitarist Justin Shekoski updated fans on the band’s current state. “We will still be writing new music and working towards a great future. Saosin [are] a group of brothers that all have different things, projects and schedules going on.” This came following news that the Used’s Quinn Allman would be taking a temporary, year-long leave, and that Shekoski would be filling in. Are you excited to hear new material from the band with Anthony Green at the helm?

Descensus is the 5th studio album from Phily/Doylestown rockers Circa Survive. The album was released November 24, 2014 under Sumerian Records. Prior to the albums release Sumerian uploaded album teasers to YouTube announcing the relase date and new songs. There were two singles released prior to the release of the album. The first of which being “Schema” released October 27, 2014 and “Only the Sun” released November 4th, 2014.  Fan reception has been mainly positive, many people are loving the album, I didn’t find many negative comments.  The album overall has a really easy tempo and beat; it’s very pleasant to listen to. Anthony Green’s voice is very easy on the ears, and sounds very friendly and reassuring in a way, all in all very nice to listen to.  There was only one standout track on this album to me, “Who Will Lie With me Now?” It’s a slow and easy tempo, while it’s just an instrumental it’s my favorite song on the album and would play it on a loop to help me sleep, it’s so soothing.

Rating 4/5- All around a very interesting sound. It’s upbeat but very easy to listen to. Usually, upbeat songs are in your face, not so much here. I very much recommend giving this album a listen!

Anthony Green of Saosin & Circa Survive & Sounds Of Animals Fighting InterviewHello Anthony, Im Andrew of Music Mayhem Magazine I’m here today to chat about your career within the music industry. Your on the cover of our June 1st 2014 release of Music Mayhem Magazine. How stoked are you for this!

MM-Q1: Tell us a little bit about yourself your background musically & how life has been treating you lately?
AG-A1: I’m a singer, I’m 32, I’ve been making music since I was 14 and as of recently life has been as good as it’s been busy. And it’s been very busy

MM-Q2: We recently had the opportunity to watch you perform a reunion show with SAOSIN at Skate & Surf Festival. Which was absolutely amazing! How does it feel to finally be reunited with SAOSIN? What was that feeling like when you first entered the stage to see a HUGE crowd there supporting the reuniting of SAOSIN?
AG-A2:I feel greatful to have had a chance to reconnect with my old friends and make amends with them. Their was a lot of weirdness that got washed away. Playing the songs and going crazy was the icing on top

MM-Q3: Its been quite some time since you release new material with SAOSIN, could we expect any new music from Saosin with you or re-releases? Will the new music be the same as past music or a new sound for Saosin?

AG-A3: We have some new music with me on it but no plans for sharing it yet. Circa is about to put out a record and that is my main focus , well see what happens after that

MM-Q4: IF you are releasing new music with Saosin will there be a US tour announced shortly after?
AG-A4: We would love to do a u.s tour , it’s just about timing. They all of other jobs and I’m touring with circa and am having a new baby. If the timing is right then maybe it will happen

MM-Q5: Back in November 2013 you released a solo album titled “Young Legs”, What made you decide to write Solo albums & What is the meaning behind the title “Young Legs”?
AG-A5: Recording and sharing solo music started as a way to work on music that I had written that circa didn’t want.   Young legs is half about not being well versed in topical song writing and half about my obsession with a women’s beautiful legs

MM-Q6:  Do you think you will have any new SOLO albums coming in the future? Do you like your solo music better then your music as vocals in a band?
AG-A6: I love playing music. And I only play music that makes me feel good. I’d say that there isn’t much different inside me when I’m singing circa or sound of animals or saosin or solo stuff. I love it all so much. And yes I have  four songs or so ready to go for the next record. It will come our next year at some point.

MM-Q7: Your currently Vocals for Circa Survive, Saosin, & Your SOLO work as Anthony Green obviously. Is it difficult to be apart of 3 bands at once? How do you manage to keep up on all three?
AG-A7: It’s not difficult for me. It’s about time management. I like being busy.

MM-Q8: Circa Survive has recently announced a new summer tour. What could we expect from this tour?
AG-A8: Lots of energy. We might play a new song or two. I’ll be playing acoustic around the venue or select spots as often as I can. It’s going to be wild

MM-Q9: Circa has also been releasing photos using hashtag #LP5. Which is obviously about a new album Circa is currently recording. Is there a title you could share or will it be called LP5? What could we expect from Circas new album?
AG-A9: This is by far the trippiest  circa record ever. It’s very weird. It’s faster and more aggressive. Expect an album of songs that I love and am more emotionally and spiritually connected to than any circa record ever.  It’s either going to be called the raise and fall of circa survive , drug farts, or something totally different

MM-Q10: What point is the album at in the production stage? Almost done? Any lyrics you could share from the new Circa Survive LP5 coming out this fall?
AG-A10: I’m finishing the vocals today and the guitars should be done in a few days. But we still have mixing And stuff. The record won’t be out until the summer is way over I think. I don’t like giving to much away but one lyric is , we mustn’t let this die. Hahha that’s not giving away to much

MM-Q11: Anything you want to say about new music from circa survive?
AG-A11: I feel more connected to it than I ever have a circa record. It has helped restore my sanity and save my life in a way. Will yip producing and helping writing has a big part in that. It’s the first time we have ever written a record 100 % in the studio. Went in with almost nothing and came out with something spectacular. Will yip is a genius and so fun to work with.

MM-Q12: Your wife and kids, I’m sure are huge supporters that keep you continuing your musical journey aside from your fans, How is life as a musician with a wife and kids? Is it more difficult then without?
AG-A12: I consider myself a family man at heat, I can’t imagine making anything of real substance without them by my side. They are my best friends. Nothing in my life was ever easy. Nothing provided me with as much joy then loving and being loved by my wife and children. I never new that kind of love before. They give everything in my life new light and meaning so they make being a full time musician ten times more gratifying. Nothing is easy. You have to find something worth suffering for.

MM-Q13: What is one thing your fans would be surprised to know about you?
AG-A13: I don’t really know, can’t say I have any sort of grip on how people look at me from the outside so it’s hard to say what would surprise them

MM-Q14: Anything you wish to say to your past, current or future fans?
AG-A14: Thanks for your attention.

MM-Q15: HOPE has a very big message within the music community now a days, What does HOPE mean to you and how do you help promote HOPE?

AG-A15: Hope is a dangerous thing. I consider myself a realist and sometimes I see hope as a way for myself not to have to let something go. Faith is more important to me. Not to a god but to the love energy or force that guides all things. That creates balance. The knowledge that the is no light without dark and dark without life. That everything comes full circle. That faith has gotten me through the most hopeless times is my life. Music with always be there. I have faith in that.
