Over the last decade Stages & Stereos has evolved in progressive, yet predictable fashion. Since emerging in 2007 the band has produced melodic driving mid tempo pop/rock music while developing an honest, loyal, and genuine fan base. The band released their debut EP Anchorless in 2012 which toped the iTunes Alternative Chart at #45 and successfully embarked on their first headlining tour. Continuing in 2013, the band launch an infectious EP entitled Small Town Favorites, produced by Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount which debuted in the top 100 iTunes charts and landed a spot on The Glamour Kills tour alongside Mayday Parade, Cartel, and Man Overboard. Continuing to push the EP, the band was awarded a top contender by Alternative Press in their 100 Bands You Need to Know in 2014 issue and continued to tour with acts such as Set It Off, Our Last Night, Heartist, Go Radio, and Vanna before separating for some time.
Since then Stages & Stereos has gone through some changes and have re-emerged with a seasoned lined up including Daniel Lancaster (vocals/bass), Stephen Elwell (guitar), Randall Karriker (guitar), and former Yellowcard/This Legend artist, Longineu Parsons III (drums).
“I was in quite a rut when this chorus lyric and melody began to form in my mind. I was walking from work to my new, but temporary home. Having recently separated from a serious relationship I was distraught, and sleep deprived as it started to rain. All I could think about was running back to the oppressing, yet familiar place I had been so complacent with. Hints the line in the chorus “I prevent myself from getting over you.” As cheesy as it sounds, I feel like it was exactly what was happening to me. It is honest.”
