Sonic Fuel created a music video for their hit single, “Karma,” and announced a self-titled debut album that is out now!
The album showcases a dynamic range of hopeful melodic rock and angst-filled hard rock, along with some awesome special guests.
Those guests included Will McFarlane (Bonnie Raitt/Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section), Damon Johnson (Alice Cooper, Brother Cane, Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd), and Andy Wood (Rascal Flatts, Sebastian Bach, Suhr Guitars.)
“We made a conscious decision to make a no-frills rock album with emotionally-charged songs about love, loss, hope, angst and ecstasy, says David Hales, singer/songwriter/guitarist for Sonic Fuel.
“There’s even some satire. It is undoubtedly thematic of the highs, lows and realities of life and society today. We were thrilled and fortunate to have contributions from some of the best guitarists on the planet.”
The music video goes with the heavy and heartfelt track as it shows the perspective of an outsider, featuring Bowie Mitchell as “Little Donnie,” as promised. Donnie is a kid who loves rock & roll because he connects with it, but he’s constantly told that it’s for devil worshippers who bite the heads off of bats by his buzzkill/anti-rock & roll mom (Ashley Ellis Mitchell.)
When he finally sees his favorite rock band live and gets to speak to the lead singer, David, everything changes in the best way.
And yes, we think we know where the mom got the bat idea from… haha.
