Sonic Fuel Release Lyric Video for “I Will Rise”

Sonic Fuel is a pop/rock group who creates music from the soul in order to heal, but also help others heal. With their latest single, “I Will Rise,” I instantly connected with the opening lyrics, “I open up my eyes at 6 AM / Reach over on your side and touch your skin / I try to hit the light, but it won’t turn on / Its been that way since I thought you were coming home.” The details in those words created an image in my head, imagining what it would feel like to wake up and feel hurt so early in the morning. I related to it in the sense that the person had left due to a breakup, but in this scenario, they were lost to suicide.

With intensely emotional and purposeful lyrics on love, loss, and perseverance such as, “You left me standing in the dark,” “No one can see the fire that’s inside me / And I know I’m gonna rise again,” and “I guess your secrets took no mercy on your soul / But you couldn’t let me in so baby, how was I to know?,” the listener is able to slowly unveil the true story.
