Slipknot percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan issued a thank you statement to fans after the sudden death of his youngest daughter, Gabrielle Crahan. Gabrielle Crahan’s death was revealed over this past weekend via Slipknot’s social platforms, the cause of death has not yet been announced.
Crahan has been said to have been battling with drug addiction in the obituary, also mentioning that she fought the disease both for herself and others who also struggled. Her drug addiction was mentioned in her obituary saying, “Gabrielle was human and struggled with drug addiction for several years. She fought it bravely and no matter how many times she fell, she would always get back up again. Not only did she fight for herself, but for others who struggled as well. If there was anything she wanted to leave behind in her memory, it was standing up for others, always being empathetic and compassionate and never giving up on the battle against addiction.“
TMZ reports the 22-year-old died from an apparent overdose. The police and fire department received a call Saturday night about a possible overdose, and arrived on scene at a Hollywood home where Gabrielle’s body was found.
