Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Has “26 Songs Written” and Is “Not Done Yet” for New Solo Album

Corey Taylor never stops working when it comes to his music from touring, writing and recording with Slipknot and Stone Sour, Taylor is now adding to his list with a new solo album on the way.

Taylor recently told WhatCulture Music, “It’s been cool to kind of start building the momentum for a potential solo run… It’s definitely going to be rock-based, but it’s going to be rock meets so many different things. There will be harder-edged stuff, but there also will be big, expansive, huge, world-changing guitar songs that you’re going to want to sing along to. That’s just who I am, and I’m not going to fight who I am. I’ve got 26 songs written, and I’m not done yet.”

There is not an official announcement of the solo album other than in this interview, and its release date is still unknown but we will keep you updated as it becomes available. Taylor will be continuing to tour with Slipknot throughout the winter and they recently announced their ‘Knotfest at Sea‘ cruise hosted by Sixthman, which takes place from August 10-14, you can find out more about the ‘Knotfest at Sea’ Cruise, HERE.
