SixForty1 debuted their new arena-ready, infectious track “Somebody’s Gonna” on Friday (May 1), marking their first taste of new music this year.

However with an arsenal of new music in the works, this year is destined to be a momentous year for the buzzed about pop-country duo. With their distinctive sound, catchy lyrics and irresistible instrumentals, Austin Gee and Brooks Hoffman are guaranteed to release your favorite new anthem and I think that did just that with “Somebody’s Gonna.”

The song is the perfect showcase of what a guy would do for the girl he loves, explaining in the lyrics that if you don’t do it for her, somebody else will. Its lyrics also can be perceived as a realization of how great the relationship you’re in is and not taking even the smallest things for granted.

“We wrote this with our buddy Brandon Day about 2 years ago,” explained Austin Gee. “It was a fun and laid back write, we literally just shot off everything a guy would do for a girl.”

“It felt like a summer jam since we first got the demo. Immediately we had it on repeat,” added Brooks Hoffman. “Right now feels like the perfect opportunity to release this song as our first single of 2020 because it’s all about appreciating the little things and realizing how great your relationship is and not taking those things for granted.”

While maintaining a fresh new sound, Gee and Hoffman have the ability to present their country roots while blending in some infectious pop elements that just leave you craving more, further cementing themselves as the next superstar country duo.

“Somebody’s Gonna” was written by Gee and Hoffman alongside their good friend Brandon Day.

Since making the move to Nashville in 2018, The dynamic duo have quickly become one of the most sought after, emerging duo’s with their unique songwriting chemistry and clever musical phrasing. The pair is en route to becoming the next chart-topping hitmakers, and your new favorite artists.

The feel-good, summertime jam is the follow-up track to their singles “Show You Around” and “I Get That.” To keep up with SixForty1 follow them on InstagramTwitter, and Facebook.
