Shinedown’s Brent Smith Admits He Will Be “Emotional As Hell” During The Band’s First Show Back

Shinedown are preparing to hit the road and are currently rehearsing for their upcoming tour dates.

The popular rock band recently shared a clip to Twitter of guitarist and backing vocalist Zach Myers and frontman Brent Smith talking about making the return to the stage.

In the brief video, Smith admits that the stage is where he and the rest of the band call home, while also saying the first show back after a 20+ month time off due to the ongoing global health crisis will be very emotional for him and the rest of Shinedown.

“When you walk on that stage… It’s home and I think more than anything, I’m the most… and I know I’m going to be emotional as hell on the first show,” Smith admitted. “I’ll probably be emotional on a lot of them because the four of us hadn’t walked on stage together.”

“20 months,” Myers added before Smith continued, “It makes you really reflect on how blessed we are to be able to do this but it’s that thing man, when you walk on stage. You’re home!”
