Shawn Mendes performed his anthemic single “If I Can’t Have You” earlier in the show before returning to the stage with Camila Cabello to perform their No. 1 single “Señorita” together at the 2019 MTV VMAs tonight (Aug. 26) as part of the star-studded list of performers. The two are said to be dating and that was surely highlighted during their steamy live intimate performance, it seemed the couple had a lot more than just a friendship connection.
The performance also brought along a candle lit stage and marks the first time that the song has ever performed on television. Mendes wearing a white tank top and black jeans as Cabello looked like she was wearing a white dress that resembled lingerie as she sung against his back and then proceeding to sing nose to nose with their vocals both perfectly blending together.
The song’s music video is nominated for five MTV VMAs, including Best Collaboration, Best Cinematography and Song of the Summer during tonights show.
